Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 is now live, and with the update comes some new multiplayer maps. Alongside the original Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War location Collateral, Hijacked from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has returned — though fans are disappointed with one aspect of its design.

One of many Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 remasters available in the game, Hijacked is a faithful recreation of the original map. Bringing back the same exact map layout with improved graphics and texture work, it plays exactly like the Hijacked that fans fell in love with back in 2012. However, one small touch has been removed, and gamers have taken to Reddit to point out the omission.

Like Nuketown’s RC-XD track, there is a small vent that serves one specific purpose in Hijacked. The vent in question is normally found in the center of the map, resting on the white barricade that surrounds the hot tub. Normally, players can toss grenades through this vent, killing those camping below if their timing is right. While few players could use the vent correctly, it was a nice secret, though Reddit user Vag7 has found that the vent is completely missing in this updated version.

In an attached screenshot, the player heads to the hot tub where the vent used to be accessible. Sure enough, it is missing, with the pathway now covered up by some white panels. Treyarch has given no explanation for why this detail was removed, though one possibility is that the hole was simply forgotten about. After all, it was a pretty small touch, and many Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players commenting on the post seem to have forgotten it existed as well. Still, the frown from Vag7 in the title shows that he is sad to see it gone, and a few comments agree.

On the flip side, those that fell victim to the grenades may be happy to see it gone. Reddit user curioussehguh calls the hole “cheesy,” meaning that they are likely glad to see this detail being left out. Considering that players had no real defense against these grenades, or no real way to tell they were coming, this viewpoint is understandable. At the same time, players had to be in a very specific spot to die to the grenade, so it was never blatantly overpowered. Regardless, while most people do seem let down by its removal, not all are annoyed that the new Hijacked lacks this classic spot.

Still, for those interested in playing this remastered, hole-less Hijacked, the map is available via a 24/7 playlist. Free as part of the Season 4 update, gamers only have to download the new patch to get access.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
