Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been around for several months, and has seen multiple events. While many fans remember the Nuketown Christmas decorations, some fans are being reminded of the holiday several months later. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War seems to be giving away a bundle that is a tad too festive for this time of year.

Fans love free content in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but a new bundle is causing a stir. While the game frequently grants a free bundle during special occasions and sometimes without reason, this new bundle is out of place. Fans are accepting the free content, but many have questions as to why a Christmas present is being given away at the end of February.

A photo posted to Reddit by SolidPrysm showcases a recent bundle offered to this PlayStation fan. The bundle is offering a weapon skin, calling card, and some charms all themed to the holiday season. While this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bundle is not a bad offer, many are wondering why it's appearing two months out of season. Upon initial inspection, this is easily one of the best-looking bundles that the game has ever offered for free. The weapon blueprint and charms are must-haves for a seasonal feel, but its distance from Christmas makes the entire offer questionable.

Fans in the comments joke that the bundle is not late, but early, as Christmas is only 9 months away. Other fans point out that those who missed this bundle's original appearance can access it without getting an uninvited prompt. By going into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War armory and selecting the weapon manually, players can be prompted to claim the free bundle through the blueprint selection menu.

For those who have not leveled up the M82 Sniper Rifle, this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapon blueprint can give players an extra edge. The Frozen Chosen blueprint adds an Infantry Stabilizer, 22.6" Combat Recon, STANAG 9 Round Magazine, Airborne Elastic Wrap grip, and a Tactical Stock to the M82 body. While the rifle has received mixed reviews among the game's community, that does not mean it is a particularly bad weapon.

Despite being out of season, many fans are happy for the surprise bundle of holiday cheer. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War often gives away free content, but none has been as well-timed as this bundle has for many fans in the comments.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
