Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is now over six years old, but the game still has a decent player base, with the game having particularly expansive offerings when it comes to its Zombies mode. While most gamers who still play Black Ops 3 use either a console controller or mouse-and-keyboard, one player is going viral for utilizing something much more unorthodox -- a piano.

Considered by many longtime players to currently be the apex of the Treyarch-developed Call of Duty titles, Black Ops 3 boasts more traditional Zombies maps than any other Call of Duty title thus far. There are even a few homages to Black Ops 3's Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, including a callback to a certain song, a certain date, and more.

Posted on the developer-recognized CoD Zombies Reddit page r/CODZombies, a user with the handle grooviehoovie has posted footage of something most players would find impossible, let alone even think or know how to attempt it. The player manages to beat the Easter Egg in Shadows of Evil, Black Ops 3's first Zombies map, using nothing but a regular piano. The 30-second clip shows the final section of the attempt, with grooviehoovie racing towards the Shadowman. After getting close enough to the altar, a flurry of well-placed shots kills the nefarious antagonist, therefore completing the Easter Egg.

The vast majority of the comments on the post have been a mixture of praise and amazement, with many confused as to how the player was even able to use a piano as a functioning video game controller. Others took note of the Black Ops series graphical improvements since the release of the 2015 title. Black Ops 3's Zombies mode is likely continually played because of Zombies Chronicles, an expansive DLC that remastered a variety of maps from prior entries. While the same amount of content has been pleaded for by players ever since, it may finally happen with rumors of a Zombies Chronicles 2 in development.

The viral Reddit post is certainly a hit amongst viewers, garnering over 2,500 upvotes at the time of writing. While completing a Zombies Easter Egg on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 using a piano is undoubtedly an impressive feat, it isn't the first time a gamer has used one to complete an already-difficult task in a video game. A few months ago, one player went viral for managing to defeat a boss in Dark Souls using a piano for a controller. The gamer managed to not only defeat Knight Artorias without being hit using a piano, but also did so blindfolded, something that should otherwise be downright impossible.

In terms of the latest for Call of Duty Zombies, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has confirmed its new and likely final map. Titled "Forsaken," the Zombies map is supposed to take place in the Spetsnaz Training Facility featured in the "Red Light, Green Light" campaign mission. Based on the information revealed so far, playing through it with a piano may not be such a good idea.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available now on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
