The popularity and incredible replayability of the Call Of Duty franchise doesn't just depend on the campaign or multiplayer modes that allow players to go head-to-head on the battlefield. In fact, it's the franchise's many weird and wonderful Zombie modes that have attracted players around the world to cooperate for survival.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 remains one of the best installments to the series for fans of killing the undead, evident in its active player base that has remained loyal to the game since 2015. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 was the first game in the franchise to introduce a new type of perk for Zombies, the Gobblegum, which gives players different temporary boosts. Players are able to customize their Gobblegum collection with 5 different power-ups, so which of the Classic super sweets best equip players for survival?

10 Impatient

Everyone has lived through the shame of watching their teammates battle a wave of zombies that they couldn't survive themselves. With the Impatient Gobblegum, players won't have to wait quite as long, which could mean the difference between thriving or barely surviving the next round.

The Impatient Gobblegum enables players to respawn on the map at the end of the current round, differing from the norm of coming back at the start of the next round. Given that players are left with the default handgun once respawned, this can buy crucial time to purchase weapons and perks to avoid getting into even stickier situations than before. This perk is active until the player next bleeds out and is available for players who reach level 3 in Zombies.

9 Always Done Swiftly

Speed is key for survival in Zombies, both in player movement or aiming a weapon. With the Always Done Swiftly Gobblegum, players can cover more ground in a shorter amount of time and will be much quicker finding enemies in their cross-hairs.

The Always Done Swiftly Gobblegum enhances the player's walking speed, which is useful when aiming weapons while walking both forward and backward. Depending on the strategy, this makes for a more effective escape from hordes or a more aggressive ploy into the undead. This Gobblegum is available for players from level 1 and will last a full 3 rounds on the battlefield.

8 Arms Grace

It's tough to bleed out in Zombies and leave teammates to finish the job, but what makes it worse is having to start from square 1 if the team lives to tell another tale. As is the custom in Zombie mode, players who are bested in a previous round will be left with the default weapon from the start of the game. With the Gobblegum Arms Grace, players are able to circumvent this problem and give themselves the best possible opportunity to continue surviving.

The Arms Grace perk enables players reintroduced in the next round to keep the same weapons they had prior to their untimely demise. This is an invaluable tool to have, as players will need to rely on having cash saved up to boost their arsenal or risk having to hold off the undead with minimal tools. This perk is included for new players and will last until the player next respawns.

7 Danger Closest

No matter the game mode, the sure-fire best way to clear a crowd of enemies is with an explosive. In Zombies, this formula is just as effective, particularly when there is no risk of grenades being returned to sender before they detonate. While explosives are a very effective way of disposing of groups, they're basically useless if there isn't room to get out of the blast radius.

With the Danger Closest Gobblegum, players needn't concern themselves with keeping out of a grenade's range, as it renders the player impervious to any explosive damage. This is particularly useful as it opens the opportunity for players to use frags as a last-ditch effort to survive scenarios where they are cornered. This perk is available for 3 full rounds for players from level 15.

6 Armamental Accomplishment

Survival in Zombie games requires a powerful arsenal, strategic maneuverability, and lightning-fast reflexes. When it comes to the latter, the Armamental Accomplishment Gobblegum will provide just the boost needed to stay alive.

The Armamental Accomplishment Gobblegum quickens the speed at which players can switch weapons and recover from using a melee attack. This makes it far easier to chain multiple melee attacks together and smoothly transition between primary and secondary weapons. This boost is active for 3 full rounds and is available for players from level 21.

5 Sword Flay

A popular strategy in Zombies to start the game is to allow the undead to rip down barriers and be disposed of via a swift melee strike. The reason for this is that rebuilding barriers will earn cash, and melee strikes offer a much higher pay rate than firearms. For those who employ this strategy, this can be extended with the use of the Sword Flay Gobblegum.

The Sword Flay boost gives players a more potent melee attack, dealing out 5 times more damage. This is an incredibly useful perk as it not only enables players to get quick kills for more cash but will save much-needed ammunition. This Gobblegum is available for use from level 6 and will last in-game for 2 and a half minutes.

4 Stock Option

There are few scenarios worse in Zombies than being surrounded by a horde with an empty magazine. With the Stock Option Gobblegum, reloading is a thing of the past (at least, until the perk times out). This perk takes the player's ammunition directly from their stockpile instead of the magazine they have equipped. For wielders of assault rifles and automatic weapons, this unlocks an almost-infinite distribution of bullets uninterrupted.

The Stock Option Gobblegum is a default option for new players and will last 3 minutes, which is a crucial amount of time to turn the tide in the player's favor when the undead numbers start to get out of hand.

3 Alchemical Antithesis

The final Gobblegum from the Classic selection of sweets is one that is worth the effort to unlock. The Alchemical Antithesis candy will replenish the player's ammunition by 1 for every 10 points they score. Given that a bullet wound is worth 10 points, a melee kill 130 points and a headshot 100 points, this is an incredibly handy power-up to earn ammo faster than it is spent.

The Alchemical Antithesis is available for players who reach the rank of Deresurrectionist at level 35. The Gobblegum is one of a select few that can be activated twice, for 60 seconds each time.

2 In Plain Sight

Gameplay from Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombie mode

The ultimate "Get Out Of Jail Free" card, the In Plain Sight Gobblegum harnesses all the power of Harry Potter's Invisibility Cloak, rendering the user completely unseen to the hungry horde of the undead. This perk gives players a crucial 10-second window where they will be ignored by the zombies and able to make a quick getaway.

In Plain Sight is one of the best Gobblegums a player can have at their disposal when adversary numbers reach an unmanageable level and has undoubtedly saved countless survivors from falling victim to a brutal brain-eating. This perk is available from level 1 and can be activated twice for a period of 10 seconds each.

1 Anywhere But Here!

If In Plain Sight is the Invisibility Cloak, then the Anywhere But Here! Gobblegum is as good as waving a wand and Apparating. This perk is the perfect escape when players find themselves back into a corner with nowhere to go, by literally putting the player anywhere but where they are right now.

Anywhere But Here! quickly transports a player to another location on the map. While this is perfect for players who are cornered, this doesn't guarantee their safety, so the perk also includes a concussive blast where they land, which will buy valuable time to pick off any zombies in the new location. This Gobblegum requires players to be level 20 and can be activated twice.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
