A Call of Duty YouTuber has been asking for months for a remastering of the classic Black Ops 2 Zombies map Die Rise. Now, he's moving to the next level as he rents an entire billboard in the middle of Los Angeles with the goal of catching developer attention. Whether or not the attempt works, it at least shows the dedication of this Call of Duty fan.

The fan's request is not completely out of the question. Treyarch frequently remasters old Zombies maps with several World at War and classic Call of Duty: Black Ops maps revisited. Still, not that many Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 maps have seen remastering which was most likely the prompt for this fan's dedicated campaign.

YouTuber JohnyJ25 has been campaigning for several months in hopes of bringing back Die Rise. The popular map was originally released as part of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Revolution DLC. The map has a reputation among the game's community for being not only detailed but highly entertaining and replayable. JohnyJ25's campaign has a website dedicated to his request and has even created a bot Twitter account that checks daily to see if the map has been remastered. Now, he has taken his campaign to the next level by purchasing an entire billboard in Santa Monica, CA requesting a remastering of the map. To make this even more interesting, the billboard is reportedly right outside the official Treyarch offices.

The billboard was put up through a GoFundMe campaign. It reads "Hey 3arc, remaster Die Rise!" At the bottom is a large list of everyone who donated to the GoFundMe and helped back the sign. While this is an unexpected move, it does show the developers at Treyarch how dedicated members of their game's community are to this cause.

One fun detail that many fans have noticed is the funny and sometimes brilliant names on the billboard. The donation website GoFundMe allows users to select any name from an anonymous handle to a nickname. Colorful characters such as 'Licensed Contractor' and 'Noname Yeet' are only part of the large group responsible for this billboard.

The initial post began to pick up steam on Twitter with many fans coming up with their own answers as to why the billboard was put up. The YouTuber responsible did put out a video to clarify that this is a sign of fan dedication and that he means no ill will towards the Treyarch team.
