A new Call of Duty July 4th bundle has a weapon blueprint that's almost exactly like one sold previously in Warzone, making some prospective buyers unhappy about this year's offering. Each new Call of Duty installment in recent years includes its own unique cosmetics, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone seem to be borrowing from former releases.Call of Duty: Warzone has seen many updates since it was first released 2020, with many skins launching for the original iteration, and a handful already dropping for the new Warzone which was released last year.RELATED: New Call of Duty Anti-Cheat Update Aims to ‘Disorient’ CheatersCharlie Intel recently posted a clip and image of one of the July 4th weapon blueprints being sold in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. The clip shows a shiny red, white, blue, and gold weapon blueprint, with a Call of Duty soldier loading a clip into it before unloading some bullets to show the impressive sparkler effect from them. Despite the impressive visuals of Call of Duty's July 4th Call of Duty bundle, the weapon blueprint is nearly identical to one that Activision sold in the original Warzone, with very minor changes.

Because many fans have already purchased the July 4th Call of Duty weapon blueprint in an older bundle, some Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone players have expressed that they have no intention of getting the slightly different version despite the package offering some novel items with it.

Given that Call of Duty has seen recent controversy with removing the NICKMERCS bundle and the upcoming retiring of the original Warzone, the repeated weapon blueprint for July 4th may add to the grievances of some fans. Because Activision regularly updates Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 and that much of the community is expressing frustration with this package, the developer could possibly drop a patch in the future to make it look different from the already released blueprint, though nothing to that effect has been announced at this time.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
