There's never really been any doubt that a new Call of Duty would be coming in 2024, though it still has yet to be officially revealed.

While E3 may not really exist anymore, Xbox still hosts an annual event in June that is the equivalent to its E3 presentations. There's a slim chance that Xbox is referring to a different franchise, but multiple insiders have weighed in on the matter and have said that the event is for the 2024 Call of Duty game. As far as official information goes, the only thing we know for sure is that the next Call of Duty is being developed by Treyarch. Otherwise, everything else remains unverified. Even so, there are various insider reports that have provided more details about the game.
If the reports are accurate, Call of Duty 2024 will be set during the Gulf War. There is some debate about the game's title. There are some who think that the game will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War, but there are others that have said that the game will actually be called Call of Duty: Black Ops V. The latter seems questionable, as this would actually be the sixth Black Ops game, but it's possible Black Ops Cold War isn't being counted, for whatever reason. Ultimately, Call of Duty fans will have to tune in to the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 9 to see what the 2024 CoD game is called and what it has to offer.
