Survival is the key to success in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombies game mode. While previous titles challenge players to survive as long as possible, the new version allows for an exfil from the contaminated site. Despite this option, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans are still finding other ways to escape the zombie horde's grasps.

At this point, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has several known glitches and bugs. These errors continue into the Zombies game mode, with players quickly finding loopholes and AI path issues that can grant them temporary invulnerability. While most players run away to survive the zombie horde, one player has found a trick to stay out of the zombies' reach.

In a video posted to Reddit by -MOJI-, the player is seen crouching in a single spot while the horde desperately tries to claw them to death. The player is in a generally open section of the map, according to their minimap, and they do not seem to be glitched inside of any objects. But by changing the elevation of the player's character model in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies, they can avoid melee attacks completely. At the end of the clip, the player does die, which proves that this is only usable against the general horde and not Megaton undead.

In the comments, the player confirms that it is still possible to take out the undead from this position.  Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans should be careful, however, as this only works on certain slopes around the map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies is a difficult game mode to survive in and so every trick, exploit, and advantage can help players of all skills levels. There is a chance that this slope exploit could earn a player a moment of breathing room, at least until a special undead appears.

It is only a matter of time before the developers patch this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies trick, though, so players should take advantage while they can. Although many issues still wait to be resolved, this could be a quicker fix.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
