It was a big day for Call of Duty: Warzone fans as the oft rumored nuclear event finally took place. The zombie invasion, which had been growing in size over the course of the season, finally reached its apex and bringing with it rising levels of radiation. During the Destruction of Verdansk Part 1 event, players who were defeated became zombies to attack the remain players until the last few players alive attempted to exfiltrate. After that, a huge nuclear event took place, effectively destroying the map in the process.

In its place, Raven has introduced a new version of the Verdansk map, taking players to the 1984 version. While the old, modern day version of Verdansk is truly gone for good, players at least have a completely revamped map to explore. This 80s inspired version features plenty of new areas mixed in with existing ones which may look a bit different now than they did previously such as Stadium, which isn't quite finished being built. For all of the excitement regarding a new map, some things never change as a new glitch has managed to also find its way into Verdansk.

Over on the Call of Duty: Warzone subReddit, user WeeabooDude762 managed to grab footage of a newly discovered glitch on Verdansk '84 which is potentially game breaking. Over at the airport, the player simply opens a lower door on the west side of the area. After standing in the doorway, the player fires a few rounds at the frame then begins to clip through until they ultimately fall below the map. Naturally, they can then move around freely without fear of being attacked while also utilizing great lines of sight against other players.

Using an underground tunnel, the player can then move freely throughout large portions of the new map while being able to fire at other players above. What's more concerning is that once the storm moves in, the player can easily escape the area using the zipline back at the airport location to rappel back up to safety back in bounds. Naturally, this is going to be a major issue going forward and has already convinced many in the community that more map glitching locations are likely present elsewhere.

While this isn't the first map related glitch Call of Duty: Warzone has seen over its lifespan, it is the first for this newly added map. Even when faced with the numerous bugs, glitches, and exploits, the mode continues to be wildly popular with Activision teasing years worth of content that continues to be planned out. In fact, the publisher has shared some staggering numbers ahead of the Season 3 launch, confirming that Warzone has not only passed 100 million players worldwide, but the entire Call of Duty franchise has surpasses 400 million in premium sales since the franchise first began back in 2003.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
