The Cargo Truck issue should finally be resolved for Solo play in Call of Duty: Warzone. There have been complaints about vehicles dominating matches in Solos in Call of Duty: Warzone, especially in end-game scenarios. Now, thanks to a recent update posted by developer Raven Software, the situation should be a bit more balanced and fair.
Fans have been asking for the Cargo Trucks to be removed from Solos in Warzone for quite some time. There have been countless videos posted online that show how much the vehicles dominate play and how end-game situations result in who has a vehicle, as opposed to who outgunned or who outsmarted the opponents (which seems less than ideal). While Cargo Trucks have not been removed completely, the spawn rate has been reduced significantly.
With the newest live update for Warzone, the spawn rate for Cargo Trucks went from 16-20 to a static 5. This affects the new Verdansk map and specifically Solo BR play. There will still be Cargo Trucks that are drivable on the map, just fewer of them.
It is important to note that Cargo Trucks can still help assure victory in Call of Duty: Warzone. The vehicle is very durable, it provides ample cover, good transportation when traveling from the gas, and more. It certainly is not the fastest vehicle, but it can help players in a pinch. The problem with the Cargo Trucks before the update is that there were simply too many of them. They can still be destroyed, but when there are double-digit Cargo Trucks circling around a player, it becomes much too much to handle. Only 5 of them on the entire map will likely be more manageable.
Recently, players started reporting a separate Cargo Truck bug in which players were randomly being killed by self-destructing explosions of the vehicles. This new issue is likely too fresh to have been addressed in the newest update, and in fact, it was not mentioned in the patch notes. Time will tell if it continues to be an issue moving forward. Call of Duty: Warzone is a game that often seems to be plagued by bugs, cheaters, and hiccups, so hopefully this is one that will be fixed sooner rather than later.
The May 27th update does not only revolve around the Cargo Truck spawn rate, as players can also expect weapon balancing, bug fixes, and more. The Season Three content has been 80's action-themed for Call of Duty. It will be intriguing to see how Activision, Raven, and the rest of the development team continue to support Call of Duty: Warzone moving forward.
