It may seem as though whenever there is a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Warzone, said update causes something in the game to break or a newly added item just won't work properly. Since the Halloween update for Modern Warfare and Warzone launched, the game has seen a string of issues relating to the new content, including a very annoying bug that affects players using the new in-game watch.

Watches have been in the game as a customizable option since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launched last year. For most players, they don't add anything to the gameplay experience and a majority of them are just for show. With the Haunting of Verdansk update for Modern Warfare a new watch, the Time of The Season watch was introduced as a seasonal award that can be earned during the game's event.

However, players using the Time of the Season watch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are having issues focusing on the game after checking the time. The watch projects the time with holographic numbers and bats flying around the player's wrist in the same way people send talking, full-body messages in Star Wars. But, a bug in the game is causing the holographic numbers from the watch to be displayed in front of the player's face after checking the time. Reddit user u/WolfPl0x uploaded a video showcasing the distracting bug from a multiplayer match.

The spooky event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hasn't gone as well as Infinity Ward may have hoped, as this newly discovered watch bug is the next issue the studio will need to address in a future patch. Recently, Infinity Ward had to disable the pumpkin heads added to Modern Warfare for the Haunting of Verdansk event due to an unspecified reason. Infinity Ward announced the disabling on Twitter over the weekend and simply noted that there was a bug with the wearable pumpkin heads.

The Haunting of Verdansk event began last week in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and since then, players have been furiously running around the map to find each Halloween themed reward. Each named location throughout the Warzone map has a Tick or Treat box that will unlock a series of different customization options for the game, including the Time of Season watch. Upon gathering each seasonal item from the 16 different locations, players will then unlock a special blueprint that keeps up with the Halloween theme.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
