Fans of the shooter title Call of Duty Mobile are looking forward to the first season of 2021. The new season is expected to bring new content following the success of Season 13, Winter War. In a recent community update, it was revealed that more surprises are on their way regarding the details of the upcoming Call of Duty Mobile season.
Fans have so far enjoyed 13 content filled seasons since the launch of the title last year. Call of Duty Mobile continues to integrate content from all the Call of Duty properties and offer a more defined game experience. With another year of content set ahead of the title, players are looking forward to seeing what the developers have in store for 2021.
In the developer update, the creators of Call of Duty Mobile revealed that they will be refreshing their season count, and rather than going into Season 14, they are starting back over. This will cover a more simplified seasonal release schedule by keeping things in line with the needs of the community. As the season is official unveiled next week, the developers are expected to be releasing teasers to hint at the upcoming content. Call of Duty Mobile appears to be sticking with its themed seasons, but the developer update describes additional features that are coming to the title before the seasons officially change.
The new season will be debuting two new weapons for Call of Duty Mobile. While one of these weapons is confirmed to be an assault rifle, the other has not been revealed as of yet. Fans are already speculating that it will be either an LMG or SMG, but without developer confirmation, these are minor rumors.
Earlier, Activision released a public test build for Call of Duty Mobile offering fans a chance to try some new game modes and features. While this tech test is outside of confirmed content, a new mode titled "The Attack of the Undead 20" is rumored to be appearing in the next season along with a new map called Rebirth.
There is no exact release date for the next Call of Duty Mobile season, but most fans are predicting a launch for January 25. Considering that this is 24 hours after the conclusion of the 13th season, this could be an accurate prediction based on previous update schedules. Either way, fans are excited to see what 2021's Season 1 content will hold for the popular mobile shooter.
