2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts might have been released to mixed reviews, but fans consider the campaign to be one of the worst of the series. That being said, it is still worth trying out Ghosts' multiplayer, with each map offering something unique. Ghosts multiplayer maps had Dynamics, which could give one team an advantage or change the way the map looked.

Players are sure to have a favorite map, with each being different from the last one. The maps also take players to different areas of the world, fighting in the United States, fighting in Scotland, and fighting in Brazil.

15 Overlord

Overlord is nothing too unique to the game, taking place at a satellite base in Chile. This map also does not offer much when it comes to Dynamics. Players are only able to open and close a doorway, making it harder to enter the base.

While it does play like a normal Call of Duty map, it would have been nice to have something changed up. With the other types of Dynamics Ghosts offers, it seems like the map could have more.

14 Stormfront

Stormfront takes players to San Diego, fighting in the streets. The unique part of this map is the storm, which gets worse as the match goes on. This hurts the player's vision, making it harder to see enemies from far away.

Lightning strikes also occur, which can disable the player's equipment if it hits too close. When the storm starts to get worse, it is best to move inside and fight from the safety of a building.

13 Prison Break

Prison Break takes place in occupied Mexico, bringing players to a construction site. With the amount of vegetation on the sides of the map, snipers will have an advantage. There are also elevated areas, allowing players to get the jump on their enemies.

The Dynamics for this map also do not offer much help. One has players knock over a tree, which will kill anyone caught under it. The other will release a stack of logs, which will roll into a river and crush anyone.

12 Tremor

Tremor takes place in Austin, Texas, after Rorke decides he is going to get revenge on the United States. As the name might suggest, this map takes place during an earthquake. The map will shake, throwing off the player's aim and damaging them if they are in certain spots.

There are also good sniping points, allowing players to hide out in a building. Fighting inside buildings will also allow players to experience close quarters, giving every play style a chance to do well on this map.

11 Flooded

This map takes place in a flooded area, being based on the campaign level Legends Never Die. Because of the water, players will want to try to stay as high as they can. However, going prone in the water will allow players to hide out for 3-5 seconds.

Players can try to cross the map quickly by jumping on a bus and truck in the water, which will start to sink. Luckily, these vehicles will begin to rise again after no one has been on them for a bit.

10 Chasm

Chasm takes place in a bombed-out Los Angeles, set after America is bombed by ODIN. Players can fight inside a destroyed building, offering a lot of close-quarter combat. There are also areas available for the player to snipe from.

The Dynamics for this location focus around the chasm in the map. Players might want to hide out in a bus hanging over the edge, but an explosive will send it over the edge and kill anyone inside.

9 Whiteout

Whiteout takes place in Alaska, pitting Ghosts against the Federation. The map offers every type of playstyle, having open areas for snipers and close areas to ambush enemies from. Players should also be careful staying near the dead trees on the map.

If a player gets the field orders, a satellite will crash into this area and kill anyone around. Players near the downed satellite will lose their minimap and HUD, giving them a disadvantage. Moving away from the crash site will bring these back.

8 Sovereign

This map takes place inside a tank factory located in Brazil. Players on either side of the assembly line are able to snipe, with side areas that make it easy to ambush. Because it is set in a tank factory, paths can be blocked as the tanks are being assembled.

The Dynamic for this map has a gas leak occur. This will cause every player's vision to go hazy, making it hard to see where the enemies are.

7 Octane

Octane takes place in Las Vegas, right outside of the strip. There are numerous buildings and alleys, making it easy to sneak around this map. There are also numerous locations for snipers to set up at and take aim at the enemy team.

There is a shipping container located in the middle of the map, which contains a care package inside. Blowing open the doors will give players a Support Pointstreak. Players can also blow up the gas station, killing anyone near it and destroying the roof.

6 Seige

Seige takes place at a mining facility near the Gulf of Mexico. Snipers might not have the best chance on this map, with it being better for medium and close-quarter combat. There is a train car that can be moved, providing cover for anyone near it.

There is also a Field Order, which calls in a missile strike on the map. Anyone caught outside will be killed, so hiding inside of a building is the best option.

5 Free Fall

Free Fall is a free map that was added in March of 2014. Before this, it was a pre-order bonus for the game. The map takes place in a fallen down skyscraper, falling a little more as the game goes on.

Using a K.E.M. Strike on this map will cause it to become foggy, making it harder to see enemies. As the skyscraper falls more, the map will change and so will the cover provided.

4 Stonehaven

Stonehaven takes place at a castle in Scotland. Players are able to play an actual version of King of the Castle, defending it from enemies attacking. There is a gate to the castle, which can be dropped to prevent enemies from coming in. Enemies with explosives can destroy the gate, however.

It is nice to play on a map that is not set in the United States or South America in Ghosts. With the open area, snipers will have a fun time defending the castle or trying to kill defenders.

3 Freight

This map takes place at a freight depot, most likely in the United States. There are a few buildings where snipers can set up, giving them a view of some of the map. Other than that, SMGs and shotguns are the best choices for this map.

There are many chances for players to make it easier to travel the map. Blowing up container doors will offer a quicker route around the map, as will shooting down a ladder.

2 Warhawk

Warhawk takes place in a town in Nebraska, bringing players to the Midwestern state. There are numerous buildings for snipers to set up in, along with alleys for the player to sneak through and ambush their enemies. Warhawk appeases to every play style a player could have.

The Field Order on this map will also give one team an advantage, as it calls in a mortar strike. The mortar strike will last for 30 seconds and will kill any enemy that does not get inside a building. If team killing is on, the mortar strike will also kill allies.

1 Strikezone

Strikezone takes place at a baseball stadium in San Diego, which is now a military base. The map is pretty similar to the map Dome from Modern Warfare 3. This is definitely a plus, as Dome is a fan favorite map of the series.

The Field Order for Strikezone includes a K.E.M. Strike, which will completely change how the map looks. The baseball field will be destroyed, but also offers more cover for players. Holes in the ground will also appear, meaning players will need to watch their step after the strike.
