Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has a unique relationship with the original title, and finding this extra detail has sparked quite the excitement among the game's community.
Hidden within the CIA safe house in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a secret area with a computer that holds a treasure trove of Activision content. For classic game fans, this Call of Duty Easter egg is far more than just a side attraction.
Players will first have to open the secret area to find the infamous ZORK computer terminal. On the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War teaser site PawntakesPawn, players can find a similar set up with Zork enabled. This is a classic text-based adventure title but it is not the only secret hiding on this strange computer. Players can access an entire arcade of classic Activision titles like Pitfall and Chopper Command.
How to Find and Access ZORK Terminal
First players will need to locate the locked door near the weapons stash inside the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War campaign CIA safe house. Next to the door will be a clipboard with several documents attached. Players will need to take note of the documents on the clipboard and locate each one.
Once players find the documents they must write down the highlighted numbers in the order that the clipboard lists. The code will be a six-digit sequence that unlocks the door. Do note that the numbers on the clipboard are part of the sequence that players will be looking for to unlock this Call of Duty Easter egg.
Players can find the clipboards scattered around the CIA base. They are normally located at:
- Warren Commission - On the ground by the locked door.
- Clinical Record - In a long hallway on the left of the locked door.
- Dallas News Article - In the darkroom.
Once players unlock the door, they will have permanent access to this Call of Duty Easter egg. Explore the terminal and its cabinet of titles for an enjoyable side experience along with the main campaign.
For help, simply type "help" into the terminal and it will list commands to guide the player. While right now the terminal only seems to play games, many community members think that much more may be hiding inside the computer.
