Considering the popularity of both Call of Duty and the mass-appeal of anime, especially among gamers, it's no surprise that the two would be brought together in the form of purchasable content. Cold War has many different bundles on offer, all of them purchasable using the in-game currency 'COD Points.' The bundles are often themed around different colors or camouflages, such as a snow-themed pack called "Alpine Crossing" or a set of amphibious weapon and costume skins for Otter, one of its characters.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has added an anime-themed bundle to the game, giving players who purchase it a number of different items related to the concept of "angels and demons," all in an anime style. This isn't the first time Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has added anime-themed items to the game, and it likely won't be the last.

The Angels & Demons Anime Reactive Pack adds a number of anime-themed items to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, including two weapon skins, a weapon charm, two different animated calling cards, and an emblem. Aside from the charm, the items in the bundle range from Ultra Rare to Legendary, and all of them have fairly detailed designs. The Call of Duty bundle's theme is present across all of the items, with the AK47 receiving a "Cursed Angel" skin with red and black colors denoting its demonic nature, while the M82's "Diving Blossom" skin has an angelic white and pink pattern emblazoned on it.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has released anime-themed bundles before, with The Anime Assassin Bundle dropping for the game earlier this year. While that pack contained five items and sat at 1600 COD Points, the Angels & Demons bundle is 1800 points and has six new items, as well as the weapon blueprints in the pack "evolving as you get kills." This is indicated by the video posted by the official Call of Duty Twitter, showing the AK47 skin available in the Angels & Demons bundle rotating through a variety of different skins.

While some fans are upset by the inclusion of anime in Call of Duty, perhaps thinking it will hurt the brand's reasonably serious tone, anime fans will surely be giddy over being able to sport an animated anime nameplate to display their love of the genre. On top of that, using an anime-themed weapon to strike down those who hate the genre will surely be a great psychological weapon to wield against foes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
