The player character Byleth for Fire Emblem: Three Houses is currently trending on Twitter, but fans aren't talking about the character's original game. The controversial DLC fighter is in the spotlight due to the recent announcements around Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the new content that will be added to the game.

Masahiro Sakurai announced today that Min Min would be the ARMS Fighter DLC that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans have been waiting for. With the new DLC now revealed, some fans have turned their attention to the last DLC fighter released to compare the two characters and participate in a longstanding tradition of Fire Emblem fans — trash talking the games and their characters.

Before Min Min's announcement, Byleth had been the latest DLC fighter for Smash Ultimate and the last one to close out the first fighter's pass for the game. While some players were excited to see Byleth joining the game, others thought that the character was an underwhelming choice for the hype they were receiving. Min Min is having the opposite reaction, and while Twitter is also trending with fans who wanted Twinbelle to bring some diversity to the cast of white human fighters in the game, many are happy with Min Min's inclusion to Smash.

Fans were also quick to point out that Min Min is the first female fighter added through the Smash expansion passes. While the player can choose whether Byleth is a man or a woman in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the Smash fighter's default is the masculine version with feminine portrayals of the character are only alternate costumes. Min Min is bringing some gender variety the fighters that Smash has been adding through downloadable content, and the character looks like she is going to throw some good punches in the arena starting June 29.

While some fans didn't appreciate the way Byleth was included in Smash Ultimate, hopefully Min Min will give Smash players what they're looking for in the expansion pass fighters. With the second fighter's pass off to such a hyped start, fans are excited to see what other characters will be following for this DLC package.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
