About a week ago, the video game developer Gearbox Software posted an image on Twitter to promote its panel being held at PAX East 2019, with the picture having teased something related to Duke Nukem or Bulletstorm. Now, the studio has officially followed through with its hint by confirming that the Nintendo Switch will be receiving Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition at some point during Summer 2019.

Essentially, Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition is going to be the same iteration of the first-person shooter's remastered version dubbed Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition which released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in 2017. So, with this being the case, Nintendo Switch players will be able to experience the original Bulletstorm packaged with all of the game's additional DLC, as well as the ability to play as Duke Nukem in the campaign.

At this point, there's no telling exactly how Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition will run on the Nintendo Switch. However, Gearbox declared during its PAX East 2019 panel that the studio was surprised at how well the game has been able to function on the Big N's hybrid mobile console platform.

It's worth noting that a recent report revealed that Nintendo has a Switch "Pro" in the works that will offer a premium, enhanced experience. So, when that version of the hardware releases, perhaps Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch will be able to compete more closely with Full Clip Edition's visuals.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see how many Nintendo Switch fans decide to scoop up a copy of Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition once it goes live for the hybrid mobile console later this year. At the very least, it's good to see that People Can Fly and Gearbox will helping to continue building up the Switch's library of games with Bulletstorm's first-person shooter action.

Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition is scheduled to release at some point in Summer 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
