Once Bugsnax players reach one of the later areas in the game called Frosty Peaks, they'll find all sorts of cold-themed critters to catch. Some of these Bugsnax can be annoying to capture, as touching any cold ones will instantly freeze the player for a few seconds, and they'll need to mash a button to get back to their normal state.

There are about 14 different kinds of Bugsnax to catch at Frosty Peaks, but for players looking to catch the large, aggressive Bugsnak called Scoopy Banoopy, this guide will come in handy.

Where to Find Scoopy Banoopy

Once Bugsnax players make it to Frosty Peaks, they should spot the Scoopy Banoopy walking near the front entrance. If players scan the Bugsnak, they'll see its path marked by purple arrows. Look to the right of the entrance to find a campfire by some trees. Using this campfire is key to catching Scoopy Banoopy.

How to Catch Scoopy Banoopy in Bugsnax

Since touching the Scoopy Banoopy will make players freeze up, they'll need to find a way to heat up the Bugsnak. One way to do that is to equip the Trip Shot item, attach one end to the campfire, and attach the other end to another surface.

The Scoopy Banoopy is a big fan of chocolate, so use the sauce launcher to lead the Bugsnak to the flaming tripwire. If it touches it, and all goes to plan, Scoopy Banoopy should be thawed and also stunned, allowing players the chance to capture it with their bug-catching net.

If Scoopy Banoopy ends up breaking by waiting for its timer to run out, it'll split up into three new Bugsnax: Scoopy, Cheery, and Banopper. Players can try leaving the area and sleeping in a bed to make the time pass to have Scoopy Banoopy respawn.

If players are having trouble using the fiery Trip Shot method, another way to do it is to lead Scoopy Banoopy to the campfire by using the chocolate sauce, and then once it's thawed, make it run into the Trip Shot --however, the Trip Shot will not need to be on fire.

Bugsnax is playable on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
