When a character is described as bubbly this usually means that they have quite a cheerful personality. This is commonly seen in many playable characters across a variety of franchises, portraying them as these incredibly helpful heroes that don't appear to get upset.
However, players that assume these bubbly characters are defenseless would be heavily mistaken as many have also been known to be some of the deadliest when facing their foes, leaving them with little remorse. With a wide variety of favored characters that are like this, these are by far the bubbliest yet deadliest main characters in gaming history.
8 Sonic The Hedgehog
This blue hedgehog has commonly been described as easygoing and loyal to his friends. Although he's not a player's typical description of what it means to be bubbly, Sonic is still incredibly cheerful and has been known throughout his franchise to put down some hilarious jokes.
However, with a short temper and hate for any sort of oppression, it is no surprise that Sonic's speed is also a big part of his deadliness. Any fans of the franchise will know that Sonic has defeated forces like Doctor Robotnik over and over with little to no restraint.
7 Mario
The notoriously popular Italian plumber is a staple character of what it means to be one of the happiest and therefore bubbliest characters in a franchise. In the majority of the franchise, Mario is tasked with saving Princess Peach from the evil clutches of Bowser, though he is rarely seen ever frowning as players are subjected to countless levels of platforming.
Besides, his cheerful nature, this plumber is also seen to be entirely ruthless when it comes to any foe that is in his path. From squashing Goomba to dust to famously swinging Bowser around by his tail before throwing him into bombs, this isn't the only time he has ruthlessly defeated him.
6 Law
Tales of Arise also has its fair share of characters that can be seen as not only bubbly but also deadly when put in the right situations. Especially the animal-loving Dahan man, Law. Although he commonly allows his fists to do the talking for him, and he can come off as pretty arrogant, Law always means well and can be rather joyful at times.
As mentioned, he commonly relies on his strength which makes him a worthy fighter for players to enjoy. Especially due to the up-and-close damage he can commit to those that have wronged him while being willing to take a blow for his allies.
5 Tracer
Tracer, whose real name is Lena Oxton, is a bright and cheerful woman from the United Kingdom, she is also only one of many popular characters from the first-person shooter Overwatch. However, only a few of them could ever be described as being bright and optimistic.
Best friends with the equally cheerful Winston, fans of the title that have tried Tracer will know that she can be lethal in combat if they know how to play her properly. Similar to Sonic, Tracer has got to go fast, blinking behind enemy lines to take short bursts of fire at the enemy till she can eventually demolish them with a Pulse Bomb while casting out her witty lines.
4 Elise
Fire Emblem is popular with players for the variety of characters that all have unique personalities that players have enjoyed unwrapping. Fire Emblem Fates was no different when introducing major playable characters such as Elise, who is the youngest from Nohrian royalty.
Although some players may find her rather childish, she is shown to be bright and clever at times through dialogue with not only her siblings but other members of the player's party. Though her true brutality is shown in battle as she works great as not only a healer but a deadly assassin if transformed into a maid.

Although in the majority of games Harley Quinn can't be played due to commonly being one of the villains Batman must defeat, there have been times that players have been able to take control of her.
One such example of this is the fighting game Injustice, where players cannot only work towards fatal combos to demolish enemies but also hear the hilarious quips she uses on others. 2 Kirby
This pink little ball of joy has been one of the most cheerful main characters in the entirety of gaming history for countless years. While surrounding himself with bright yellow stars, adorable graphics in each title of the franchise, and just being seen as cute by the majority of players, it is of no surprise that Kirby is classed as a bubbly character.
While Kirby can also act as a literal bubble, one of the arguably most traumatizing things he can do is eat a person whole. With this in his own franchise or his guest appearances in Smash Bros, Kirby is able to suck up his opponents and take their form without batting an eyelid.
