Acclaimed indie darling Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is rumored to be getting a remake that looks to be announced soon. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was initially a PC and Xbox 360 timed-exclusive game when it was released in 2013. However, the fan-favorite title from Starbreeze Studios and 505 Games has gone on to see releases on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch. The adventure title was one of the generation's best-reviewed games, scoring a 90 on Metacritic for the PC version and an 86 on the Xbox 360. The game also took home several major awards from different showcases and publications when it first launched.

Speaking of gaming showcases, the director of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is Josef Fares, who has had several memorable moments at The Game Awards over the years. With the director's long and well-documented history at recent Game Awards events, perhaps tomorrow night's showcase could be the venue where the rumored remake is announced. It would also coincide with Xbox teasing big announcements for The Game Awards 2023.

Xbox Game Pass News Teased for The Game Awards 2023

Xbox gets Game Pass subscribers hyped up for The Game Awards days ahead of Geoff Keighley's annual, news-filled award show.

Gaming industry leaker billbil-kun is sharing that Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake will soon be announced. The leaker has been a reliable source of information in the past, correctly predicting countless deals and even the free PS Plus games for February 2023. Still, the reports should be treated as a rumor until official information is provided.

Billbil-kun suggests that the game could indeed be announced at The Game Awards, which will stream online tomorrow, December 7. If true, it would certainly rank among the biggest rumored and leaked game announcements for The Game Awards 2023. The only other information that the leaker provides is that the remake will also be published by 505 Games.

In addition to celebrating some of the biggest and best titles of the year, The Game Awards has also become a showcase for announcements and reveals. And while some years are better than others, the game premieres at each showcase seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Alongside the reveal of The Game Awards 2023's runtime, it was also reported that host Geoff Keighley will be showing off fewer games ahead of the show, packing more new reveals into the event itself.

While The Game Awards is, first and foremost, an awards show, game publishers really seem to be hyping up this year's event with the promise of new reveals. The announcement of a Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons remake would certainly help the show meet its lofty expectations.
