With the Captain Marvel sequel on the way in The Marvels, Brie Larson is talking a bit more about what fans can expect and how she's feeling about the arrival of the sequel. She's already given several interviews where she's expressed excitement over The Marvels and talked about what she thinks is going to be a "bonkers" sequel film.

There isn't a great deal known yet about the plot of the Captain Marvel sequel. What is known is that it will be set quite a few decades after the first film and will see at least some supporting characters return, though they will have grown up since the events of Captain Marvel.

Whatever is going to take place in The Marvels, Larson is excited for people to finally get to see it and believes it's going to be quite the wild ride. Speaking in an interview with Uproxx about the upcoming film, she first made it clear that she would like to be able to talk more about what's coming in Captain Marvel 2. However, she added that she can talk about her feelings while also saying it was an honor to work with director Nia DaCosta.

Larson went on to explain how she felt when she read the script for The Marvels for the first time, adding that she couldn't believe what she was reading. "I was like, this is bonkers," she said. The actress added that the movie being bonkers is what she loves about being part of the Marvel universe.

Fans are having to mostly guess about who will appear in The Marvels because of the famously secretive nature of Marvel Studios, especially in this particular phase of the movie rollout. However, Larson said she's quite excited for people to get their hands on the upcoming film.

As her part of production on The Marvels has officially wrapped, Larson is just sitting and waiting for the flick's release just like the rest of the fandom. The actress said that she understands why the MCU is so often kept under wraps as much as it is and that she feels like it's fun to have a little secret every now and then. Finally, she said that she feels like it's fun to know that when the movie finally comes out, people are going to be delighted and genuinely surprised by what's on screen.

The Marvels is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
