Brie Larson has teased the new logo The Marvels, which is a sequel to the 2019 Captain Marvel film that introduced the titular character to the growing world of the MCU. Captain Marvel is no doubt one of the strongest characters in the MCU and she is one of the few heroes who explores the cosmos, which is where Marvel Studios is moving the overarching story.

For The Marvels, Larson will be joined by two of the newest heroes to join the MCU. The first will be Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau, who debuted in WandaVision, and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan, who will soon make her first appearance in the MCU when Ms. Marvel hits Disney Plus.

Now, Larson has taken to Twitter to reveal the new logo for The Marvels, which combines the respective emblems of Carol Danvers, Vellani's Ms. Marvel, and Parris' Monica Rambeau. The fact that the new logo references all three characters would indicate that each hero will be on equal footing in The Marvels. The synopsis for The Marvels reveals very little aside from the inclusion of the aforementioned newcomers, but it is known that Carol Danvers will be the leader of the team. The logline does tell fans to "Prepare to experience it and fly higher, further, and faster with the film, directed by Nia DaCosta!"

For those unaware, Marvel Studios has been steadily revealing more heroes who will no doubt be a part of the live-action incarnation of the Young Avengers. In the comics, The Young Avengers is essentially Marvel's group of younger heroes, so think of a different version of DC's Teen Titans. Aside from Ms. Marvel, some of the characters who have been introduced recently and could be a part of the Young Avengers include Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, Elijah Bradley in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Wiccan & Speed in WandaVision.

With the role of leader left open by the loss of Captain America and Iron Man, Earth is looking for its new main protector. With the responsibility of a leader also comes a new team, and if anything should happen to the older heroes there needs to be backup.

On the flip side, it's easily arguable that it's not even slightly okay to have children running around and fighting supervillains. Balancing school, adolescence, and typical teenage drama is hard to maintain when one looks out the window to see a spaceship descending on Earth. Still, the Young Avengers always end up holding it down at the end of the day and grow into bigger and better heroes during the course of their career. It's also interesting because a lot of the younger heroes choose the superhero life while the older ones were chosen.

The Marvels is slated for a February 17th, 2023, theatrical release.
