There are various armor sets that Link can equip in Breath of the Wild. One set that players will want to upgrade as soon as possible is the Climbing Set. Equipping any piece of Climbing Armor makes it easier for Link to... well, climb. Players that are looking to upgrade this set to its full potential will need to gather some Swift Violets.

Like the Warm and Cool Safflinas, the Swift Violets only grow in particular habitats. Breath of the Wild players are also recommended to have weather-resistant armor before setting out to farm them. Because of their rarity, it's not recommended to sell Swift Violets for a quick rupee. Players are advised to hoard them until they've completed their armor upgrades.

Where to Find Swift Violets

Players can find Swift Violets in the Hebra Mountains and the Gerudo Highlands. Much like Rushrooms, Swift Violets can be found growing on walls, so Link's going to need more than one Stamina Wheel if players intend on farming multiple in one sitting. Depending on where players are looking, Swift Violets are rarer than Rushrooms. Link may have better luck searching the Hebra Region than he would the Gerudo Highlands.

When exploring either one of these regions, make sure to have level-2 cold-resistant (for Hebra and Gerudo Highlands) and heat-resistant gear (near Gerudo Tower). Weather-resistant can be stacked by wearing two level-1 resistant gear (ex: Snowquill Headdress + Snowquill Tunic ).

Link will need to climb close enough to the Swift Violets so that the action button says "Take." Equip one of the Mountain Climbing Set when scaling the Gerudo Highland walls. If players are in the Hebra Region, make sure to have a level-2 cold-resistant armor or equip a flame weapon such as a Flamespear.

Finally, players can look for Swift Violets in Ludfo's Bog. This is south of Thundra Plateau. If players haven't discovered the Toh Yahsa Shrine (Thundra Plateau), Players can reach the bog by gliding west from the Ridgeland Tower.

Where to Buy Swift Violets

If players travel to Zora's Domain, they can buy three Swift Violets, one per 40 rupees. These will restock if Link spends time far away from the shop. For example, travel to Rito Village and spend an in-game's day cycle there. Travel back to Zora's Domain so that the swift Violets can restock. Since Zora's Domain only restocks three Swift Violets, players are going to have to get the rest from their respective locations.

Swift Violets are needed to upgrade to level 4 of the Climbing Set. Players will also need 15 Swift Violets to upgrade the Sand Boots and Snow Boots. Armor upgrades can be done at any of the Great Fairy Fountains. However, if Link wants level 4 armor, he will need to "free" all four Great Fairy Fountains in Hyrule.
