Many of the rewards for completing any of the 76 sidequests found in Breath of the Wild are relatively modest. In rare cases, players may get a special type of horse gear or rare materials, such as a diamond. The sidequest "Little Sister's Big Request" can be accepted at any point in BotW, but it's recommended to grab it in the earlier-mid stages of the playthrough.

Because Rupees are such a rarity in Breath of the Wild, it's best to complete sidequests that give 100-300 rupees as a reward. Unfortunately, some sidequests require a lot of work only for a meager reward. "Little Sister's Big Request" is one of those that will have Link traveling to various places around Hyrule.

Unlocking "Little Sister's Big Request"

To accept this quest, go to the South Akkala Stable. This is a bit northwest of the Akkala Tower between Tarrey Town and the Eldin Region. Players should Activate the Ze Kasho Shrine so that they'll have a Travel Point to South Akkala Stable. For the "Little Sister's Big Request" mission, they're going to need it.

Next, players will want to look for a young girl running in front of the stable. This is Gleema, and she's the first key to unlocking the sidequest. Speak to her, and she'll say she has a secret. Answer "Tell me!" and players will learn that her older sister, Jana, loves armoranth flowers.

Players will then need to speak to Jana, but unfortunately for Link, Jana will not acknowledge unless he has an armoranth flower on-hand. Armoranths may have been one of the first flowers that players picked up after leaving the Great Plateau. If for some reason they missed them, then they should go to Mija's Great Fairy Fountain between Tarrey Town and the Dah Hesho Shrine. There are plenty of armoranths there to pluck and, if players have enough rupees, they can "free" Mija and unlock the next level for armor upgrading.

Travel back to the Ze Kasho Shrine and speak to Jana. She can be found near the left tree outside the stable. If players give her the armoranth, they'll be able to proceed to the next step of unlocking the sidequest.

When prompted, select "I'm a traveler" and Jana will want Link to speak to Gleema. Run over to Gleema, and she'll admit she likes dragonflies - darners to be specific. Now go back to Jana to report the findings to unlock the "Little Sister's Big Request" sidequest.

Gleema wants a warm darner, cold darner, and an electric darner. The bad news is that Jana hates darners, which means Link's going to have to do the work. Darners are big dragonflies that can be found in specific climates of Hyrule. Here's what to know:

  • Warm Darner prefers areas like the Eldin Region and the Akkala Highlands. Both of these are north of South Akkala Stable.
  • Cold Darners live in areas like the * Thundra Plateau near Hyrule Ridge, or the Tabantha Frontier (near Tabantha Tower).
  • Electric Darners will only appear when it's raining. Furthermore, they're picky about where they live. Players can farm these darners in the * Seres Scablands (Hyrule Ridge). Remember: It must be raining in order for them to appear.

* The Hyrule Ridge and Thundra Plateau are near the Tabantha Bridge Stable.

It's likely that players will already have one or two Darners at this point in their playthrough. Link should wear his best Stealth-enhancing gear and set out to personally farm the darners. Alternatively, he can take the easy and suggested way out and buy them from two specific merchants. Darners are very cheap, so as long as Link has 30 rupees, he'll have this completed in no time.

Where to Buy Warm Darners & Cold Darners

Players will want to head west from the Great Plateau to reach the Gerudo Wastelands region. Before entering the Gerudo Wastelands, there's a stable called the Gerudo Canyon Stable. If players have already activated the Wasteland Tower or one of the nearby Shrines, they should warp there first to save on some travel time. (Refer to the above image for the location.)

Look for a traveling merchant with a donkey. This is Maypin, and she's selling Cold and Warm Darners (x3) for 10 rupees a piece. Gleema wants all three types of Darners, so fork over 20 rupees and get one of each.

Where to Buy Electric Darners

Now, players will need an Electric Darner. Again, these can only be farmed in the wild when it rains in the Seres Scablands, but the quicker way to get them is to go to the Riverside Stable. Players can Fast Travel to the Wahgo Katta Shrine (if they've activated it) to save some time. If not, then head northeast from the Great Plateau or southeast from the Central Tower to find the Riverside Stable. (Refer to the above image for the location.)

Speak to Beedle at the Stable. He'll have x3 Electric Darners for 10 rupees each. Players should know what to do here.

"Little Sister's Big Request" Reward

Now that Link has all three darners, he'll need to warp back to the Ze Kasho Shrine. Find Jana and give her the dragonflies... or attempt to, since she'll be too scared to give them to Gleema. So, after speaking to her, go look for Gleema once more and hand over the darners. After the follow-up scene, speak to Jana to get 100 rupees for all the hard work. Considering the amount of travel this took, the reward itself may be too modest for some players, but 100 rupees can buy merchant/store-exclusive ingredients, such as Goat Butter of Fresh Milk.
