There are 120 Shrines in Breath of the Wild, and players will need to complete every one of them if they want more HP/heart containers or Stamina/stamina wheels. Some Shrines are part of the Shrine Quests, which require a few steps before Link can activate them. Fortunately, most are out in the open, and that includes the Keo Ruug Shrine.

Breath of the Wild's Keo Ruug Shrine trial is called "Fateful Stars." As its name indicates, Keo Ruug won't be a Major Test of Strength, so Link won't have to worry about fighting. The key to the "Fateful Stars" puzzle is to look around the main room.

Fateful Stars (Keo Ruug) Shrine Location

Players will want to activate the Keo Ruug Shrine because it's near the Master Sword in the Korok Forest. This Shrine will come in handy for those attempting the Trial of the Sword, as it bypasses the Lost Woods segment of the Korok Forest.

If this is the player's first time activating the Keo Ruug Shrine, they'll want to go to the Mirro Shaz Shrine by the Woodland Stable. Follow the path from the Stable to the Korok Forest. Once in the forest, Link will need to follow the flame of the torches to navigate through the Lost Woods. Take the Torch Weapon, light it, and look carefully at where the embers are flying. Getting off track and wandering into the mist will cause Link to black out and respawn at the Lost Woods' entrance.

Players will know they're close to the Keo Ruug Shrine when the Shrine Sensor starts beeping. It's down the path to the left of Hetsu. Activate it with the Sheikah Slate to unlock a new warp point and then go inside to get the Spirit Orb.

Fateful Stars Puzzle 1

Upon entering, players will notice there are four rows of orange hollows and two spheres on each side. Each side will need two spheres, so leave them for now. Check the slab on the platform to get a hint on how to solve the "Fateful Stars" trial. It says Link will need to "look to the stars for guidance" and that "the constellations are the key." This doesn't mean leave the Shrine and wait until night to gaze at the stars. Look around, and there will be orange constellation marks on the wall. The spheres go into the socket that represent the constellation (one constellation per row).

If players are still having problems, then here are the solutions:

Fateful Stars Puzzle 2 (Chest)

Once the gate opens up, Link can approach the monk and get the Spirit Orb. However, if players want to get the chest (to the immediate right in the room with the monk), then they'll have to return to the previous room. This time, Link will need to replicate a different constellation. Successfully completing the second puzzle will unlock the gate. Open the chest to get a Knight's Claymore.

Remove the spheres from their resting place, and put them in the following locations:
