Increasing a character's Speed attribute in Bravely Default 2 can have a tremendous effect on their efficacy in battle, and consuming an item called Booster Bun (Speed) is a way to do just that. That said, this item can prove to be quite elusive, and indeed players may not obtain many of them through standard gameplay. There is a method for farming Speed Buns in Bravely Default 2, though, and it can be utilized fairly early in a playthrough.

To begin, players that would like to farm for Speed Buns must first unlock the Thief Job in Bravely Default 2, which occurs in Chapter 2, and get it to level 10. Doing this will give fans access to Magpie, a passive ability that gives a character a roughly 25% chance of acquiring rare items when stealing, and that is mandatory for this method. Players that would like to expedite their farming can also take the Thief Job to level 12 in order to unlock Rob Blind, but that is not strictly required.

With these preparatory steps completed, JRPG fans should equip Magpie, and Rob Blind if they have opted to obtain it, to as many characters as possible. They should then head to the north end of the area that is north of Halcyonia and look for Brimstone Stallions. For the uninitiated, these enemies are the skeletal horses with blue flames, and the rare item that can be stolen from them is none other than the Booster Bun (Speed).

After engaging a group of Brimstone Stallions, fans should simply use the Steal ability repeatedly until they have stolen a Speed Bun from each one of them. When that has occurred, players are free to dispatch these enemies in Bravely Default 2 and find a new group of them, repeating the process until they have obtained the desired number of Booster Bun (Speed). Notably, starting fights with Brimstone Stallions at night will cause more of them to appear in the battle, which can speed up this farming method.

One final thing to mention is that the area where Brimstone Stallions appear is also great for farming JP in Bravely Default 2. This is due to the fact that there are quite a number of Vesps in the vicinity, which players can manipulate with Insect Nectar in order to trigger Consecutive Battles fairly consistently. While it is certainly not requisite that fans employ both of these farms simultaneously, it is something that some players may be interested in trying out.

Bravely Default 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch.
