Bosch: Legacy season 3 has wrapped filming, and fans are looking forward to finding out what happens in the aftermath of the cliffhanger at the end of season 2 which saw Maddie Bosch intercepting a call on Harry Bosch's phone from a convict called Preston Borders. He informs her that her father ordered the hit on Kurt Dockweiler: the man who kidnapped Maddie earlier in the season. Maddie is a rookie cop in the LAPD, and if she becomes aware that a crime has been committed, she will be required to report it. However, it becomes more difficult as it potentially involves her father.
There are questions surrounding the legitimacy of the claims made by Preston Borders, especially as Harry Bosch was instrumental in his incarceration for murder, so why would he plot Dockweiler's murder with him? Titus Welliver has played the ex-LAPD detective turned private investigator for 10 years now, and he will be joined in Bosch: Legacy season 3 by co-leads Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch, and Mimi Rogers as Honey Chandler, as well as a slew of other characters confirmed to return.

Bosch: Legacy season 2 ended on one of the biggest cliffhangers ever, as Harry Bosch faced some big questions from his daughter, Maddie Bosch, over his involvement in Kurt Dockweiler's death. Bosch: Legacy season 3 is set to pick up exactly where season 2 left off, with these questions being answered. But what could happen if Harry Bosch actually did order the hit, and what will Maddie Bosch do about it now she's part of the LAPD?
Harry Bosch's relationship with his daughter, Maddie, has been strong for many years after they were estranged for most of her childhood. She has followed her father into law enforcement and possesses a lot of the skills that made Harry Bosch a great detective. It was her ability to detect a crime that led her to suspect him of being involved in her kidnapper's death.
Maddie likely won't turn her father in for his crimes, despite this compromising her position in law enforcement. However, this doesn't mean she'll give him an easy time of it, and it could see their relationship begin to deteriorate. If Harry Bosch did order the hit on Dockweiler, it goes against everything he taught her to be. Maddie had recently saved her father's life when she tracked down the location where Don Ellis was hiding out and shot him just before he could kill Harry Bosch. She didn't think twice about 'taking a life, to save a life', as Harry had drummed into her for years, and Dockweiler's death could be explained to her in this exact way, to get Maddie on his side.
What would happen to Harry Bosch if he was involved in Kurt Dockweiler's death?
On some level, Maddie Bosch would understand if Harry had ordered the hit on Dockweiler, as he was responsible for inflicting so much trauma on her, but as an officer of the law, two wrongs don't make a right, and it was the job of the justice system to deal with it, which they already had.
It is likely Honey Chandler will find out about Harry Bosch's involvement in Dockweiler's death, which could also compromise her position as the District Attorney if she wins the election. However, Bosch was instrumental in helping her deal with Carl Rogers, so she would understand why he did what he did and cover for him. Chandler has a strong relationship with Maddie Bosch and could act as a mediator between her and Harry, and explain to her that what he did was to protect her and make sure Dockweiler paid for what he did.
The three co-leads of Harry Bosch, Honey Chandler, and Maddie Bosch could play an important part in metering out ultimate justice in Bosch: Legacy moving forward, with their jobs as a private investigator, District attorney, and LAPD police officer respectively. Chandler could convince Maddie that sometimes not everything can be done by the book in order to obtain justice. However, the three of them could make sure the Kurt Dockweiler's of the world never get the chance to hurt anyone ever again.
Maddie Bosch has some big decisions to make in Bosch: Legacy season 3, that could have ramifications for many seasons to come. In many ways, Maddie has become the moral compass of the Bosch-verse, with Harry Bosch and Chandler more than willing to get their hands dirty to solve cases. There is bound to be a case in Bosch: Legacy season 3 that changes Maddie's outlook on her father's potential crimes. It would also be interesting to see Harry and Maddie Bosch actually work on a case together in Bosch: Legacy season 3 as a way of mending their fractured relationship.
