Boruto: Kishimoto Reveals How Kurama Survived

Kurama survived in Boruto and is now with Himawari. Here's how all this was made possible.

Of course, as fans were expecting, the vast majority of the Boruto chapter was focused on Kurama and his return, and readers finally got confirmation on how this beast's return was made possible. At the same time, Kishimoto also showed what pathway he would go on to take from here onwards. That, and much more was tackled in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 10.

Kawaki Leaves To Save Himawari

Kawaki Prioritises Himawari Over Beating Boruto

Kawaki fans can breathe a sigh of relief as he was given quite a bit of interesting characterization in Boruto. At the moment, both Hidari and Jura are currently in the village, seeking out Himawari. Towards the end of the previous chapter, Himawari was seen trying to lure them out of the village, and right now, that is her primary goal. Hidari and Jura did not take the bait that easily. However, other characters were seen arriving at the battlefield. Most importantly, Boruto Uzumaki, who fans know was escaping from the location where he teleported to, was focused on a bit. Kawaki, meanwhile, looked dead set on trying to kill Boruto. However, as soon as he found out that Himawari was in trouble, his priorities changed immediately.

If Himawari is in trouble, you should've led with that, ya jerk!

As was made clear in the previous chapter, the target of Shinju is none other than Himawari, and now, Kawaki has jumped into action to rescue her immediately, which is an interesting touch to his character and just goes to show that his goal of killing Boruto doesn't take priority over saving those that he loves dearly. Of course, he has done a lot of horrible things in the series, but at the end of the day, he does still hold his family dear to him.

Meanwhile, Boruto Uzumaki was seen trying to recover from the Karma resonance, and it appears that it will take some time for the seals to retract fully. The vast majority of the attention was on the Shinju, and at the same time, Himawari and Kurama. Fans got a proper look at these characters in the chapter, and it is safe to say that all of them ended up delivering in one way or another.

Sarada And Hidari Clash

Sarada and Hidari Had The Inevitable Battle In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Boruto: TBV chapter 10 also gave fans a proper glimpse of Sarada Uchiha. Fans were fully expecting to see her in combat in this chapter, and the author certainly delivered in that regard. Fans got to see the Shinju split up in this chapter, and while Jura went after Himawari, Hidari stayed right where he was. He was surrounded by Konoha Shinobi, and, at the same time, he also saw Sarada Uchiha approaching him. Of course, he thought he wanted to consume Sarada, which meant that he immediately went for the killing blow. Hidari charged a powerful Chidori and attempted to kill her, but, Sarada, activating her Sharingan at the right time, was easily able to see through his techniques, dodge, and strike him with a powerful Chidori of her own.

This injured Hidari greatly, and he fell to his knees. However, it didn't take him long to get back up. Sarada knew that this technique belonged to her father, and now, a confrontation between these two has officially been set up. Sarada isn't alone, however. Fans know that she has Sumire with her, and at the same time, Konohamaru is there to help as well. This might turn into a three versus one battle, where Sarada Uchiha will take center stage in the fight.

Himawari will showcase her power soon enough in Boruto.

Undoubtedly, this battle is going to be incredibly exciting, and fans cannot wait to see how it develops further. This chapter only served as a stepping stone for the fight to explode into life and the next chapter is going to be much bigger for her as well as Hidari, which is something that greatly excites all the readers of Boruto.

Himawari Unleashes Her Hidden Power

Himawari Uzumaki And Kurama Finally Combine

Of course, the biggest part of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 10 was the bit with Kurama and Himawari. In the previous chapter, fans got to see Kurama finally unveil himself. He was attempting to hide inside Himawari. However, the Ten-Tails sniffed him out. In this chapter, Kurama and Himawari talked for the very first time, and the beast confirmed his name to be Kurama. Essentially, this isn't a different Tailed Beast or one who does not hold any previous memories. It is the same Kurama that ended up dying while fighting alongside Naruto in the battle against Isshiki. Kurama explained that while he did die fighting alongside Naruto, Tailed Beasts’ deaths are not permanent. Tailed beasts, even if they lose their soul, come back to life and that is precisely what ended up happening here.

Death is not eternal for Bijuu. Even if our flesh or soul perishes, over time a new kernel of us will sprout somewhere, and we will manage to return to life.

Kurama added that nobody knows where the Tailed Beast will spawn and how it will happen. However, it just ends up happening anyway. It was quite a surprising twist of fate that Kurama ended up spawning inside of Himawari. Now, the author's approach here is certainly very interesting, however, it certainly does appear that the author is bending the plot to go against the logic that he established in his own universe, because Kurama, after the death that he suffered, should have been reborn outside, not inside of another person. Still, it doesn't make much of a difference at the end of the day, and what fans know for sure is that he is now inside another vessel.

Kurama mentioned that perhaps the reason why he spawned inside Himawari is that she has some of his chakra, thanks to Naruto. Or, it could be because she has the chakra of both the Uzumaki and the Hyuga, although these two chakras don't really lead to something unique, as far as the fans know. What matters, however, is that Kurama is back and Himawari is now an official Jinchuriki.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 10 then saw these two familiarize with each other. However, while Himawari wanted to make use of his power immediately to save those around her, Kurama asked her to be patient and believe in herself first. In fact, Himawari even got her leg broken while trying to attack Jura. Seeing her desperate situation, Inojin rushed into the battle and got himself stabbed right through the chest. With him on the verge of death, Himawari rushed into action, by forcing Kurama to lend her his power.

Now, she has officially entered a Tailed Beast State. However, only the initial version of this power. This is the same state that Naruto first entered when he started utilizing the Tailed Beast chakra, and it will certainly take her some time to get used to these powers.

What fans know for sure is that from here onwards, Himawari will be fighting against Jura. Fans will get to see her put on a show in the next chapter, just as Kurama put it. At the same time, Kawaki should be approaching the battlefield as well, which will make this an exciting team-up against these Shinju.

Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 11, is set to be June 20, 2024.
