Naruto Uzumaki has always been one of the most powerful ninjas to have ever lived. In fact, prior to him losing the powers of Kurama, Naruto was the strongest ninja to have ever existed, with Sasuke being the only one coming close to him in terms of strength. Naruto completely redefined what a ninja could and couldn't do and set standards that were impossibly hard for any other ninja to match or achieve.

However, if there is one thing that is constant in the Naruto world, it is that the next generation is always going to surpass the old one, and that will also likely apply in the Boruto era. Naruto is incredibly powerful, however, there will come someone stronger than him who will take his position as Hokage eventually and this person could be none other than Sarada Uchiha.

Naruto's Reign As Hokage

Naruto Uzumaki was one of the strongest Hokage to have ever lived. Even though legends like the First, Third, and the Fourth Hokage absolutely stood out as god-like beings in the ninja world, Naruto left all of them in the dust and reached unprecedented levels as a fighter. During the 4th Great Ninja War, Naruto not only became the strongest ninja of all time but also attained godly powers from Hagaromo himself. Naruto learned the power of Six Paths Sage Mode, and this power only grew in the Boruto series as well.

During his fight against Isshiki, he was stronger than ever before and he managed to tap into the power of Baryon Mode. It was quite clear for the fans to see that Naruto had hit unprecedented heights as a fighter. And, this, in return, also saw him define his position as the greatest Hokage of all time. Naruto had the right temperament for this position and his kind heart meant that he had everything that a good Hokage should have, and that is, insurmountable strength and the courage to do what is right. This, essentially, makes Naruto Uzumaki the greatest Hokage to have ever lived. He saw to it that the world was peaceful after the evil of the Akatsuki tried to plunge it into depths of darkness. Naruto single-handedly managed to pull off what no other ninja could and, for that, he has now been immortalized.

Sarada's Incredible Potential

While Naruto Uzumaki is certainly the greatest Hokage to ever live, and, at the same time, will likely be the greatest to have ever existed in the eyes of many even in the years to come, there is always going to be someone who will reach similar levels as him. The standards that Naruto set were very high, however, they are not unmatchable. In order for someone to reach the same level as Naruto, they need to possess the Will of Fire and have a gentle heart. At the same time, they need to have tremendous strength up their sleeve, such that they are strong enough to protect the entire world. The first part might appear rather easy to achieve, however, it clearly is not. Many Hokage have failed in the past and committed grave mistakes that even led to genocide.

Similarly, others have used their kind hearts to let the enemies take advantage of them. Becoming a Hokage is certainly not easy, and the burden that this position carries is way too heavy. However, this is the easy part as, to surpass Naruto as Hokage, one would also need to possess tremendous strength, and that's truly difficult. Whoever surpasses Naruto will have a mountain to climb. For instance, Shikamaru is the Hokage of the village right now but he is the shadow of what Naruto used to be. If Konohamaru manages to succeed Shikamaru, he'll likely be underwhelming as well. After konohamaru, the next person who appears to be in line to become the Hokage of the village is none other than Sarada and fans can only hope that she manages to live up to the expectations.

Sarada's Strength And Potential As Hokage

To surpass Naruto Uzumaki as Hokage, Sarada will need everything that Naruto had and do it better. In terms of temperament, one can say that she absolutely has the perfect temperament for the position of Hokage. She carries the Will of Fire despite being an Uchiha and she's smart enough to know what needs to be done. She isn't cruel or cold-hearted and, just like Naruto, believes that violence might not always be the answer. In this regard, Sarada has already succeeded and she will most definitely match the standard set by Naruto.

However, the difficult part for Sarada will be to attain a similar level of strength when compared to Naruto. While this might appear to be difficult at the moment, it is something that appears to be achievable. Sarada has recently awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan and this eye is certainly going to be incredibly overpowered. It will most definitely give her the power required to become a successful Hokage. Of course, having just a Mangekyo Sharingan won't allow her to reach Naruto's level of strength, however, the way the series has been set up so far, she already has Otsutsuki-level enemies ahead of her.

Currently, Hidari, who is a Shinju, is targeting Sarada and she will inevitably have to fight him and defeat him. Hidari himself is an enemy stronger than Sasuke Uchiha and that in itself means that Sarada will surpass him, and in the process, Naruto Uzumaki as well. Thus, it is essentially a guarantee that Sarada will surpass Naruto Uzumaki.

Sarada might not awaken the power of the Rinnegan, however, she will have an incredibly overpowered Mangekyo Sharingan ability and, most likely, the potential to make her eyes eternal as well. Furthermore, Sarada will also likely receive some other skills in combat, such as the Byakugou of her own mother and, thanks to that, she will always have access to near-unlimited chakra in combat. If Sarada manages to defeat Hidari, then she will automatically have surpassed Naruto Uzumaki as the Hokage of the village. She will still have higher heights to reach as her potential would be absolutely immense.

Surpassing Naruto Uzumaki as a Hokage is incredibly difficult, however, someone like Sarada can certainly do it. Fans must remember that the next generation of ninjas will always surpass the previous generation, as Kakashi once stated, and that only means that Sarada has what it takes to do what Naruto did and do it better. Of course, it will be quite some time until she gets there, however, she's already taking the right steps and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what she has in store for them. As Boruto continues, Sarada's growth will be more apparent and the fact that she is going to surpass Naruto will become apparent to the fans as well.
