Himawari is quite easily one of the strongest characters in Boruto right now, and more than that, she is a character with a tremendous load of potential who has a very high ceiling, that Kurama resides inside of her. After his death, Kurama has now re-emerged into the world. Only this time, he has somehow managed to find his way inside Himawari, where he now dwells.
Boruto: Himawari Uzumaki Confirmed As A Perfect Jinchuriki
Himawari could surpass Naruto as a Jinchuriki in Boruto. She is already a perfect Jinchuriki.
This means that Himawari has the potential to be incredibly powerful. Judging by how things have been set up in the Boruto series, it is entirely possible for Himawari to take things to the next level and surpass even Naruto Uzumaki, the 7th Hokage.
Himawari's Otsutsuki Connection
Himawari Has A Strong Connection To The Otsutsuki Clan
Himawari Uzumaki has a lot of potential inside. This was set up right from the beginning of the series. The same can also be said for her brother, Boruto Uzumaki. In fact, in the case of Boruto, it has explicitly been stated that he has a strong connection to the Otsutsuki lineage. In the case of Himawari, this is true as well. Naruto, her father, has the power of Six Paths, and this was directly gifted to him by the Sage of Six Paths. Her mother, Hinata, was given Hamura's chakra in The Last: Naruto the Movie. Clearly, both her parents having a connection to the Six Paths essentially gives her the opportunity to inherit some of their powers, and become an incredibly powerful individual once those powers do actually end up awakening.
Himawari is very special and most of Hinata's inherited Otsutsuki powers might have manifested through her, which is why she has access to the Byakugan, while Boruto does not. Himawari will get her opportunity to showcase her true level of strength soon enough, and it will be extremely exciting to see what she does with the powers that she has been blessed with. While the Otsutsuki connection is strong in her, this is not the only ability that she has up her sleeve. That is precisely what makes her incredibly exciting as a character in more ways than one.
Himawari's Affinity With Kurama
Himawari Is Kurama's Most Compatible Jinchuriki
While the connection with Otsutsuki certainly adds a layer of strength to Himawari, which might just be untapped as of yet, her true strength at this point in time comes from the Tailed Beast, Kurama. Fans know Kurama to be the strongest of the nine Tailed Beasts and this powerful individual was strong enough to absolutely destroy any other Tailed Beast in combat. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto manifested full control over its powers, and with it, he was able to fight even against the likes of Obito, and later on, Madara. Himawari is going to be able to do something similar once she manifests full control over Kurama's power. Right now, she certainly is not at that level. However, with time, she will get there. It must be noted that Kurama is still a baby at this point.
The only ones who have ever achieved true control over the Biju are Uchiha Madara, and Hashirama Senju, along with Fourth Mizukage Yagura and Lord Raikage's younger brother, Killer Bee. That's about it. - Danzo
His size is way too small, and as a result, it is highly likely that his chakra reserves, along with just about everything else, isn't at its maximum potential. The same can be said for Himawari. Strong as she is, she is not at her peak at this point in time, and these two will most likely grow together. However, what separates Himawari from any other previous Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails is the fact that her affinity with Kuram and his chakra is the highest. This means that Himawari can actually utilize Kurama's chakra much better than even Naruto, synchronizing with it much better. Himawari can also bring out more power from Kurama, and reach unprecedented levels of strength that even Naruto could not tap into.
Boruto: What Kurama's Return Means For Naruto
With Kurama having returned by manifesting insideA Himawari, what does that mean for Naruto?
This is an exciting aspect of her character that fans will be dying to see more of in the future. In her battle against Jura, she showcased the ability to manifest powerful techniques such as the Tailed Beast Bomb, right from the very beginning. This puts Naruto's first Nine Tails showing to shame. Of course, it is not about comparing the two individuals, but this just goes to show that Himawari is already showing a lot of promise and that she can go beyond Naruto.
As the series continues, fans will most definitely get to see Himawari gain more control over Kurama's power, likely gaining some transformations along the way as well. This control will take her to an entirely new level, hitting the same power as the likes of the Otsutsuki. Once again, fans also need to take into consideration that Himawari has likely gained access to the Otsutsuki power as well, and at the same time, she wields the Byakugan too. This eye could become the center of attention later on the line, and have newer abilities revealed. If that happens, Himawari will truly shine as one of the brightest individuals in the entire series.
Himawari's Potential In Boruto
Himawari Has A Ton Of Potential In Boruto
At this point in time, it is clear for the fans to see that Himawari is being set up to surpass the vast majority of the individuals from Boruto's previous generation. Of course, whether she can surpass her brother or not is something that is up for debate. However, the older generation can be surpassed by her, and this could potentially even include Naruto Uzumaki.
Death is not eternal for Bijuu. Even if our flesh or soul perishes, over time a new kernel of us will sprout somewhere, and we will manage to return to life.
However, if Himawari's Otsutsuki powers do show up later down the line, then Naruto can potentially be surpassed. Furthermore, Boruto could manage to reach an incredibly high level of strength without even tapping into the power of Sage Mode, let alone Six Paths Sage Mode. He has managed to reach a level where he can defeat someone like Code without even utilizing his full power. If it was possible for Boruto, it can be possible for Himawari, who has a strong Tailed Beast inside her.
Then, one also needs to take into consideration the fact that Himawari can potentially access Baryon Mode in the future. Of course, Baryon Mode killed Kurama when he last utilized it. However, the key here is that his connection with Himawari is on an entirely different level. Himawari has a greater affinity with Kurama, and this could allow her to utilize his power better, without resulting in the death of the Tailed Beast. If that were to ever happen, Himawari would then become one of the strongest, if not the strongest, individuals in the entire series, and that is certainly something that fans would absolutely love to see in Boruto.
For now, however, fans simply have to sit back and watch her reach the next level of strength in the upcoming few chapters. Come to the end of the Boruto series, hopefully, she will have fulfilled her potential.
