Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues its incredible run over the course of the last few months and fans are expecting an exciting chapter later this month as well. The manga has been spectacular for fans of Boruto Uzumaki, however, when it comes to fans of the old generation of characters, such as Naruto and Sasuke, the manga hasn't been all that fun lately.
Naruto: 5 Powers That Rival Baryon Mode
Baryon mode is extremally powerful. These abilities can rival it.
As fans know already, Naruto Uzumaki met a very bad fate towards the end of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and, now, things remain just as bad in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. While things look extremely grim for Naruto at the moment, there might be some hope, as the author of the story has hinted, and fans can only wait and see things unfold as the story progresses before they get to see Naruto Uzumaki return once again.
Naruto's Sealing In Boruto
Naruto Uzumaki was spectacular towards the beginning of Boruto, however, as the story progressed further, his importance was lowered quite a bit. Naruto ended up engaging in combat against characters much stronger than him and, much to the surprise of the fans, for the very first time, it felt that Naruto was out of his depth. This was a rather strange turn from the writers, especially given that Naruto wasn't even utilizing all the powers that he possessed. Nonetheless, Naruto was crippled later when he was given access to Baryon Mode to fight against Isshiki.
While he utterly dominated Isshiki in combat, this came at a massive price and that was the life of Kurama. His Tailed Beast, Kurama ended up dying and, for some weird reason, Naruto has not been able to make use of Six Paths Powers ever since. To make things even worse, Naruto was then weakened to a point where he couldn't even defend himself against the likes of Code or any other powerful character in the series.
This made Kawaki realize that he had to protect Naruto at all times and, the very first step to accomplish that would be to get rid of the threat that was right in front of him, and that was none other than his brother, Boruto Uzumaki. Of course, Naruto would not let Kawaki simply kill Boruto, and for that reason, he decided to seal the 7th Hokage away. With him, Kawaki also ended up sealing Hinata Hyuga, although that isn't all that much relevant to the main plot. Naruto Uzumaki has been sealed ever since and things are not looking good for Konoha at the moment. 3 years have passed since Naruto was last seen. To the rest of the ninja world, Naruto Uzumaki is dead and was killed by none other than Boruto.
In truth, he lies in the dimension of Daikokuten, where time doesn't flow, meaning Naruto has not aged even a second. Fans did get a glimpse of Naruto Uzumaki in the first few chapters of the sequel manga to Boruto and it is only a matter of time before he is finally freed. Boruto is progressing at a good pace now, which means that the 7th Hokage should not be too far away from his return.
Naruto In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
As soon as the timeskip of Boruto began, the first manga, named Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, finally wrapped up as well. The series went on a 4-month hiatus and returned with a completely new manga, called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. This surprised the fans quite a lot, however, it was a change that fans got used to pretty quickly. As to why this change happened, fans do not know. The manga went through a complete rebrand which worried some fans, for various reasons. Regardless of that, it was quite clear for the fans to see that Naruto Uzumaki would end up playing some sort of role in the story as it progresses.
Even now, Naruto remains at the center of the ongoing plot as Boruto Uzumaki, along with the likes of Sasuke, and potentially even Sarada and others are currently working their way to save Naruto somehow. The 7th Hokage is alive, even though he has been announced as dead all over the world. Kawaki even gave fans a glimpse of Naruto in the very first chapter of the manga and, once again, that is a reminder to the fans that Naruto has not been forgotten.
Boruto absolutely intends to free Naruto from his prison, however, it might be a while before that happens. Fans know this because the prologue of the series clearly indicates that Naruto Uzumaki is still sealed away, which means that until the battle between Boruto and Kawaki settles for good, Naruto Uzumaki cannot be freed.
Naruto's Return
The authors of Boruto know that Naruto Uzumaki’s survival is of paramount importance when it comes to the Boruto series. This doesn't just apply to Naruto, but also Sasuke as well. These two characters are at the core of any Naruto series, be it the original or a sequel to Naruto. As such, these two characters simply cannot be killed off, no matter what. That is precisely why Naruto Uzumaki made it to the very first chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as well. The authors know to keep the fans hooked to the series and now, Naruto's sealing is being used as a means to make sure that the fans continue reading the manga.
This can be interpreted in both good and bad ways. However, above all, fans know that this only means that Naruto's return is inevitable. The biggest threat that fans of Naruto Uzumaki feared was his death. With his sealing towards the end of the previous manga, it became clear that Naruto would not die. This only means that his return is not too far away.
As soon as Code is dealt with, Boruto needs a main villain and that main role is going to be played out by none other than Kawaki himself. This only means that the fight between Boruto and Kawaki isn't all that far away now. Boruto has matured into an incredibly powerful ninja while Kawaki has completely mastered his powers as well. These two characters are going to start fighting sooner rather than later and when that happens, Naruto Uzumaki will be freed.
That certainly doesn't mean that Boruto is going to end once they fight. There is a lot of stuff still left to tackle, such as the threat of other Otsutsuki and, of course, the plotlines surrounding Shibai. Once Naruto returns and so does Sasuke, Konoha can start shoring up its defenses against these monstrous fighters. When that happens, fans can rest assured that Naruto Uzumaki will be significant to the plot once again and might even receive his powers, which would then make sure that he takes part in major wars to come.
