Highlights

  • Vladof weapons are known for their high fire rate across a variety of gun types.
  • The Infinity pistol has unlimited ammo reserves and can come with any elemental damage type, making it a valuable tool for buildcrafting.
  • The Kick Charger rocket launcher is powerful because it can charge its projectiles before firing, deals increased damage, and can pierce multiple enemies, making it great for crowd control.

Vladof offers some of the fastest-firing weapons throughout the Borderlands franchise, or at least that’s the manufacturer's signature trait. This may sound underwhelming compared to the other more over-the-top weapon manufacturers in the Borderlands games, but Vladof still offers some seriously strong firearms.

As mentioned, Vladof weapons are universally associated with having a high fire rate, but most of the best legendary Vladof weapons build upon this foundation with their own unique traits. Throughout the Borderlands games, Vladof stays true to this identity, and most of the latest Vladof weapons in Borderlands 3 even feature a secondary under-barrel attachment that either modifies the weapon’s primary firing mode or provides a secondary weapon altogether.

Vladof’s Strongest Weapons Throughout the Borderlands Franchise

Backburner

Like most of the various legendary weapons in the Borderlands games that spawn multiple projectiles wherever their initial projectile lands, this weapon’s main appeal is its ability to hit large targets multiple times with each shot. Consequently, the Backburner is amazing against massive enemies like Borderlands’ raid bosses, but it generally underperforms against smaller enemies that can be easy to miss.

Infinity

What this pistol lacks in damage it makes up for with its natural unlimited ammo reserves, paired with its ability to come with any elemental damage type. Overall, the Infinity is a generous buildcrafting tool, and consequently, this is one of the many weapons that should return in future Borderlands games.

Kick Charger

This rocket performs similarly to the Tediore rocket launcher Kaneda’s Laser because they are both rocket launchers that shoot a concentrated laser beam that is capable of landing critical hits. What makes the Kick Charger so powerful is its ability to charge its projectiles before firing to deal increased damage, although this weapon can be instantly charged by sliding instead. Also, this weapon’s projectile can pierce multiple enemies, proving extremely effective for crowd control.

Light Show

This weapon is practically a beefed-up version of Valdof’s legendary Infinity pistol, except that it doesn’t have unlimited ammo. The Light Show shoots multiple projectiles with each shot at an extremely fast fire rate, and it can also come in any elemental damage type. Overall, this weapon is extremely versatile, and it’s arguably one of the strongest pistols in Borderlands 3.

Longnail

The main appeal of this sniper rifle is its ability to entirely bypass shields, making it a great weapon against raid bosses, or other major enemies. Bypassing enemy shields was what made Mordecai such a powerful vault hunter in the original Borderlands, so the fact that a specific legendary weapon naturally comes with this ability is quite the spectacle, which explains why this weapon is so hard to collect.

Lyuda

This weapon is a staple throughout the Borderlands franchise as it is generally one of the strongest sniper rifles in each game that it shows up in. While the Lyuda is technically a sniper, it shoots faster than most assault rifles. Not to mention, this weapon also shoots multiple projectiles at a time, so between its multiple projectiles and high fire rate, the Lyuda is an absolutely devastating weapon.

Shredifier

The Shredifier is among one of the fastest-firing weapons in the entire franchise, but because of this, the weapon will burn through ammo extremely fast. Since the Shredifier has a high magazine capacity though, this weapon is especially powerful in the hands of vault hunters in the Borderlands games who can passively regenerate ammo directly into the magazine at no cost.

The Monarch

The Monarch is considered to be among the highest DPS weapons in Borderlands 3, due to the extreme amount of projectiles this assault rifle fires at a high fire rate. Instead of a secondary firing mode, this weapon comes with a bipod under-barrel attachment that decreases the wielder’s mobility while simultaneously doubling the amount of projectiles it fires, which is where the weapon’s true power comes from.
