With the Borderlands series having been around for over a decade, players have fought a huge variety of enemies within the games. However, one of the most iconic is undoubtedly the Loader Bots, and Redditor kevinhansen286 used LEGOs to bring the Borderlands enemy type to life.

Usually, Borderlands fans will focus on recreating items tied to the series’ iconic Vault Hunters. This makes sense, as players take control of these characters and spend plenty of time in their shoes. However, while artwork of Zer0 and Zane may be very common, this makes it even more special when fans do something different with their projects. A LEGO Loader Bot certainly qualifies as unique, and it helps when its creator does a brilliant job of putting the item together.

This custom LEGO build stands out due to just how accurate it is to the in-game Loaders. Fought all throughout Borderlands 2 and in Borderlands 3’s Handsome Jackpot DLC, players are more than familiar with Hyperion’s yellow robots. The deadly machines stand out from robots fought in other games, as they lack a proper head and have some thin midsections. Their red eye is a clear weak spot, and the LEGO build nails this small detail. While there may be some special pieces, like a coil on the machine’s side, the majority of the replica is clearly made with LEGOs pieces.

A nice touch sees the Loader Bot giving a thumbs up, something that could indicate it is the one seen in Tales from theBorderlands. In the Telltale game, Rhys befriends a Loader with a unique personality, and the two become close as the story progresses. The bond makes for some of the funniest moments in the choice-based game, and many remember the character fondly years later. If this is indeed meant to be that same Loader Bot, then kevinhansen286 has done a fine job of honoring the character.

Alongside a back shot of the LEGO Loader Bot that proves he looks just as detailed from behind, the Redditor shared more about the project with the Borderlands community. In the comments, they confirmed that they had been messing with the design for a full year, trying to get every aspect of the model right. With these being some of the fan’s “favorite enemies” in the Borderlands series, they were inspired to make them in LEGO form. Fortunately, they have shared the instructions online so that other users can make their own Loader Bots, which is a nice gesture.

Though it remains to be seen if Loader Bots return in future Borderlands games, they have clearly left their mark on the series’ fans. If Borderlands players want a LEGO version of a Loader like the one kevinhansen286 has, all they need to do is search up the instructions, grab some blocks, and start building.
