Gearbox Software's ten-year Borderlands anniversary event continues in Borderlands 3 as Rare Spawn Hunt week begins. This is the second week of the five-week event, following last week's Bonus Boss Loot week where certain bosses had a higher than usual chance of dropping legendaries. This week it's time to check the bounty boards and do some hunting.
This next phase of the event begins on on October 8 at 9am PST. Rare Spawns are rare named enemies that drop legendary loot scattered throughout the world of Borderlands 3. Only this week, they are becoming a lot easier to find. Rare Spawns will be guaranteed to show up in specific locations with an increased chance to drop legendary weapons and unique loot.
The full list of Rare Spawns and the loot they will drop was released today, and it can be found below.

This post-release event celebrates the release of the original Borderlands in October 2009. This is giving players a major leg up on grabbing some legendaries and gearing up for the Borderlands 3 raid boss and future DLC. The future weeks for the Borderlands 3 anniversary event include Show Me the Eridium for Week 3, Mayhem on Twitch for Week 4, and Spooky Surprise for Week 5. It's unknown exactly what to expect from these weeks aside from increased chances at the rarest loot in the game.
Borderlands 3 is a game that was warmly regarded by its core fanbase, while some others think that BL3 needs more modern systems, and it has given players a lot to do in the weeks since it was released. That said, fans are still waiting on any news of what to expect from the first major expansion that is rumored to hit later this winter.
Borderlands 3Â is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
