Twitch Prime's seemingly endless allotment of in-game rewards for subscribers now includes free content from one of 2019's most successful games, Borderlands 3. The Amazon Prime-adjacent service recently unlocked a new selection of free loot and Borderlands 3 Golden Keys are among the trove of freebies.

According to the official Borderlands 3 loot drop page on Twitch, Gearbox is planning to give out four different content drops. Only the first content drop has been revealed, but it's available for Twitch Prime subscribers to claim now and includes 3 Golden Keys for Borderlands 3 and an exclusive weapon trinket.

The weapon trinket is a familiar shape to Twitch fans. It's named the Caster Blaster weapon trinket and it's a purple retro television with the Borderlands logo displayed on its screen.

In order to acquire the new Borderlands 3 loot, players need a copy of Borderlands 3, a Twitch Prime subscription, and a Shift account for redeeming the code. First, subscribers will log into their Twitch Prime account and go to the loot page for Borderlands 3. On this page, users can click on the "Claim Now" option, after which they'll be prompted to link their Shift account with Twitch. After claiming the loot, it will appear in-game via the player's mail. Note that if Borderlands 3 players are on multiple platforms, the loot will lock to the first one played after it's been claimed.

The Twitch Prime offer for Borderlands 3 has limited availability - those interested in picking up the Golden Keys can claim it between now and May 14, 2020. It's unclear, but unlikely, that this first loot drop will last for that entire duration. Rather, all four loot drops will probably be released during this window, with one drop going unavailable and one opening month to month. It's not clear what the remaining loot drops will include, but it's safe to assume they might have more Golden Keys as well as cosmetics.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
