Since the launch of Borderlands 3, FL4K has been one of the most popular Vault Hunters, mainly due to their incredible endgame viability. Players were able to put together insane FL4K builds that melted bosses like it was nothing, but Gearbox has since set to work to make FL4K a more "balanced" character. This was done in the first wave of Vault Hunter updates by nerfing Guerrillas in the Mist, and while the latest Borderlands 3 update arguably is a net positive for FL4K, it nerfs one ability that has further upset fans of the character.

The latest Borderlands 3 update buffs FL4K's Rakk Attack and Barbaric Yawp abilities, but it adds a re-trigger delay of 2 seconds to the Leave No Trace ability. This ability is crucial to many Borderlands 3 FL4K players, and many of them have expressed their disappointment at the change on Reddit with memes.

Here is a selection of the funniest Borderlands 3 FL4K nerf memes that we found.

Some fans have pointed out that Borderlands 3 is primarily a PvE game, so character balancing like this isn't as necessary as it is in other games that have more of a PvP focus. Even so, it's understandable that Gearbox wants to deliver a balanced gameplay experience, especially since it didn't expect players to create the kinds of FL4K builds that they did.

Others have complained that Gearbox keeps issuing Vault Hunter balance changes without addressing some of the game's bigger problems. Borderlands 3 has a long list of technical issues that still need ironed out by the developers, but to Gearbox's credit, it has released a patch that went a long way in fixing some of the game's biggest problems. For example, one recent Borderlands 3 patch fixed the game's split-screen lag issue that had plagued it since launch.

Moving forward, Borderlands 3 fans can expect plenty more updates for the looter-shooter. Some of these will make even more Vault Hunter changes, and others will fix its lingering problems. Others still will add more substantial content to the game, like the upcoming Bloody Harvest event, so fans can expect frequent updates for Borderlands 3 for the foreseeable future.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
