Gearbox continues to produce an incredible amount of post-launch content for Borderlands 3. The looter-shooter's second premium expansion, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainright and Hammerlock, came out in early March, and the ongoing Takedown Shakedown event ends today. Looking forward, Borderlands 3 content in April includes Mayhem Mode 2.0 and the Revenge of the Cartels. It seems that wasn't enough for Gearbox, however, as two more April events have now been announced.

The two new events aren't going to be major content drops. They might not be new expansions or raids, but they will add some extra flavor to players' Borderlands 3 experience. Basically, leading into April Gearbox announced that it would be holding mini-events throughout the month. The previous event Door Busters ends today, but two new events take its place. Introducing Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All. Both events will last from April 2 through April 9.

Slot Machine Mania will have Borderlands 3 players returning to the game's first premium expansion, Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. During the event all slot machines will have an additional chance of dropping Legendary gear. To add some fun, they also have an increased chance of dropping grenades at players' feet.

Event number two, Trials Take-All, is simple, too. Proving Grounds Tests will give bosses 100% chance to drop loot from their respective pools. Proving Grounds Tests are repeatable tasks that reward a safe full of loot once they've been completed. Now they'll provide bonus guaranteed boss loot, too.

These two new mini-events, Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All, will run alongside the month-long ongoing event, Co-op Loot Drop. Until April 30, playing with a co-op partner will result in badass enemies dropping more loot. It's not a huge or complex event, but it does result in more loot and that's really all that Borderlands 3 players can ask for.

Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take-All will last until April 8, but Gearbox has already promised that more events will follow. The entire month of April in Borderlands 3 will be dedicated to these mini-events. It's Gearbox's way of encouraging folk to stay home and self-isolate during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's also their way of trying to get more people playing the game and buying their DLC, too, of course.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
