Why Was BoJack Horseman Season 7 Canceled?

In an interview with Vulture, creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg shared the story behind deciding that it was time to conclude the TV series. He said that when he wrote a definitive season 1 finale, Netflix said to be more "open-ended." Bob-Waksberg asked if Netflix would let him know when the show should end so he could make sure that the series finale was a proper one. He said of BoJack Horseman season 7:
