Although fans are ready to start looking forward to Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne isn't quite done torturing players with difficult boss fights just yet. The PS4 exclusive action RGP was a runaway hit earlier this year and pulled in glowing reviews, while breathing life back into the painfully difficult action RPG genre. Although most fans have finally managed to finish the game's original campaign, more Bloodborne challenges are right around the corner this holiday season.

The wait for new Bloodborne content is almost over and players will be exploring Byrgenwerth’s darkest secrets in just a few months. The new content will offer plenty for lore lovers, as gamers have the chance to learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their Hunting Grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne.

The Old Hunters expansion releases digitally on November 24 with a price tag of $19.99. The retail edition will follow a few days later on December 3. Sony revealed some details about the setting and the new content on the PlayStation Blog...

"Set in a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to overcome. You’ll find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your arsenal as well as additional magic to wield and add more variety to your combat strategy."

"With new story details, learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their Hunting Grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne. Here’s a brief glimpse of just some of what lies in store for you when The Old Hunters launches on November 24th, including Simon’s Bowblade weapon, and new boss enemy Ludwig."

Sony announced that an expansion would be on the way during its TGS keynote and teased modified bosses from the core game, curved blade weapons, bow and arrow and other new features. The announcement doesn't give us too many details on what to expect, but fans can anticipate a lot more information to drop before the November release date.

Considering the insane amount of hours many PS4 owners already have invested in Bloodborne, $19.99 seems like a very fair price for any amount of addition content. If the expansion is anything like the core game, we expect The Old Hunters to keep the community plenty busy during December.
