Bloodborne allows gamers to use a wide variety of weapons, but one fan recently finished the game using only a cannon. Released in 2015, many people consider Bloodborne to be one of the best PS4 exclusives, with some fans believing it to be FromSoftware’s finest game.

Bloodborne was praised for having a bigger focus on aggressive gameplay as players could regain a portion of their health by attacking enemies within a certain time limit. It also allowed gamers to transform their weapons, giving them access to a wider variety of moves with the same piece of equipment. Instead of shields, Bloodborne players could wield guns in their off-hand and use them to stagger enemies. The cannon is one such ranged weapon available in Bloodborne, and one video showcases its effectiveness.

As reported by TheGamer, A YouTuber named ymfah has shared a detailed video on how players can finish Bloodborne using just a cannon. Fans can find this weapon in the Forbidden Woods area, but it requires 30 strength to wield effectively. The almost 18-minute video delves deep into the steps needed for this build, before showing a montage of the cannon destroying some of the toughest bosses in Bloodborne in seconds.

This strategy also works well against bosses from Bloodborne's The Old Hunters DLC, as ymfah kills Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower and Laurence the First Vicar using just the cannon. Players can find similar videos that focus on unique builds in FromSoftware’s games on ymfah’s YouTube channel.

Sony launched several critically acclaimed games throughout the PS4 generation including God of War, The Last of Us Part 2, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Some of these titles have been released on PC or PS5, allowing users to play them at a higher frame rate. However, Bloodborne has been stuck on PS4 since its original release, and it doesn’t seem to offer any performance upgrades when played on a PS5 via backward compatibility.

Due to the relatively poor performance of the PS4 version, some fans have been asking for a Bloodborne remaster for years to no avail. Sony has not shared any response to these requests, but rumors about Bloodborne coming to PS5 and PC have been circulating for years. Given that Sony released a full remake of Demon’s Souls, another FromSoftware game exclusively available on PlayStation, perhaps a Bloodborne re-release with improved graphics and frame rate will come out at some point.

Bloodborne is now available on PS4.
