Bloodborne is trending on Twitter, and many From Software fans may wonder why. Bloodborne launched years ago, yet many players are still talking about it and hoping for a sequel.

Bloodborne launched in 2015 as a PS4 exclusive. Like many FromSoftware games, Bloodborne gave players a complex combat system along with an incredible backstory that allowed players to immerse themselves in its impressive world. Many Sony-exclusive titles have launched on PC since their initial release, and some Bloodborne fans want the same. Unluckily for them, Bloodborne looks like it will not be coming to PC anytime soon.

On May 1, Bloodborne started trending on Twitter, and many fans of the Souls-like games got excited about the sudden spike of interest. It seems like Bloodborne is trending right now because of a recent tweet by a user called RinoTheBouncer, a gaming content creator on the platform. The tweet that made Bloodborne a trending topic featured an image featuring unannounced sequels like Uncharted 5, The Last of Us Part 3, Ghost of Tsushima 2, and Bloodborne 2. Stating gamers could only choose a game, and the other ones would never see the light of day. This single statement prompted gamers on Twitter to make Bloodborne 2 a trending topic.

Some optimistic Bloodborne and FromSoftware fans believed the game was trending on Twitter because a sequel was announced, leaving them disappointed when they discovered the real reason behind the sudden interest on the platform. FromSoftware fans are hopeful about a Bloodborne sequel, and gamers' feedback shows it on Twitter. Sadly Bloodborne 2 may never see the light of day despite players' interest.

FromSoftware doesn't always make sequels of its games, so a potential Bloodborne 2 is not guaranteed. However, if there's enough demand, perhaps fans will eventually be treated to an enhanced PC or PS5 port of FromSoftware's classic game. Time will tell, but for now, the only way to play Bloodborne is by playing the PS4 version of the critically-acclaimed game.

Bloodborne is available now on PS4.
