Bless Unleashed is a relatively new game on the consoles and one of the latest release titles on the PC. It's an MMORPG which means compared to other games, it has a steeper learning curve. That's a double-edged sword. While it means that the game's systems and mechanics are complex, it can be discouraging for new players since they might end up wasting their time and resources running around blindly.
Thus, it would be smart of them to go through some beginner tips and tricks in order to get them up to speed. After all, Bless Unleashed is a competitive game. The late-game progression is rife with tons of players vying for power and supremacy—the whole environment can be rather harsh and untamed. So, beginners will want to prepare for that with these tips.
10 There Are Two Kinds Of Progression XP
First up, players will need to know which metric to cater to if they want to progress in the game. There are two kinds of experience or XP meters for that. Those would be the level XP and the skill XP. It's a rather old-fashioned leveling approach courtesy of many Korean MMOs that came before Bless Unleashed.
Level XP is the progression players gain from killing monsters and doing some quests. Skill XP is what they get for repeatedly using their skills and will let them upgrade their abilities better. Now, which is more important? That would be the latter since level XP doesn't really do much for killing power in the game.
9 Don't Rush Through The Story
If players are newbies hell-bent on zipping through the storyline fast in order to get to the endgame, they are in for a disappointment. That kind of mentality is currently a bad idea in Bless Unleashed. Running through the main quest fast and many other quests that reward level XP more often than not results in a low-skill XP yield.
This can result in levels being high but abilities being weaker. That is a good way to ruin a character in Bless Unleashed. So players will want to keep everything balanced or simply focus first on grinding out their skill XP. Make sure to always do regional quests as these give out good skill XP.
8 Gear Score Is More Important Than Attributes
With that said, there might be one way players can get away with weaker abilities in Bless Unleashed but with a high level and that is with the Gear Score. Gear Score determines how good players' items are and they're a whole other metric. Currently, it's also the best way to see how well a player does against another one.
In Bless Unleashed, a player with a higher Gear Score will usually win against someone with less—particularly if the Gear Score gap is quite big. So, with all that's been said, rare and more powerful items typically trump attributes and levels.
7 Don't Worry Too Much About Hostile Enemies
Much like in any mob and grinding-based MMORPG, Bless Unleashed is littered with annoying critters and enemies that more often than not impede you. Most of them attack on sight and can obstruct players in a hurry. Thankfully, players can actually ignore them safely.
Most of the monsters in the game have a slower movement speed compared to the players. In fact, most players don't even have to run away from them; simply moving away from the hostile creatures is enough as they won't be able to give chase. Don't worry about engaging them unless in need of a quick XP fix.
6 Sign Up With A Bandai Namco Account For A Decent Free Mount
If players want to move even faster than the enemies who might chase them, then a mount would be a good idea. Luckily, Bandai Namco is generous about this and will give a free GOLDEN HYAENODON Mount to anyone who links their Bandai Namco accounts with their PS or Xbox accounts.
It's a pretty decent ride and can get players from point to point fast. More than that, it lets players save up on their first mount in the game. Once the accounts have been linked and the players have signed in, they can claim their hyena mount in the Premium Items tab in the inventory.
5 Gear Can't Break On Fortification Level Zero
Bless Unleashed pushes the unforgiving mechanics even further down the line as it takes its cues from older Korean MMOs as well when it comes to gear upgrading. Whenever one enhances their gear in Bless Unleashed, it has a chance to break. Repairing them is costly, for that matter.
However, this isn't the case all of the time. There's a small window during an item's enhancement phases that allow it to endure the damages. That would be fortification level zero. This is when items don't have a chance to break when enhanced. The enhancement can still fail but at least it's a less costly failure.
4 Take Note Of Item Rune Requirements
Anyone wanting to maximize their Gear Score will want to take time reading their items. Sometimes, it can be exciting to purchase items on the market but fail to check their rune requirements. In Bless Unleashed, some items need specific runes. This is so players can yield their best bonuses.
Moreover, some items require specific rune colors, otherwise, those runes won't account for anything and the item bonuses will still be locked. This is an item quirk that many players tend to overlook and beginners can easily miss, resulting in a lower Gear Score.
3 Conserve Your Star Seeds If You're A Free Player
In any MMORPG that has the free-to-play tag, it's always important to determine which currency is the be-all, end-all—the premium one that allows everything to happen and speeds up progression or probably even causes some players to sling some pay-to-win accusations.
That premium currency in Bless Unleashed would be Star Seeds. Players can ignore the gold that gets showered around from doing quests and killing in-game mobs. There's bound to be no shortage of that one. Star Seeds is what they'll want to be thrifty with especially if they don't spend real money in the game.
2 The Game Has Forced PvP Above Level 30
Now, here's the polarizing part about Bless Unleashed. Once one gets to a certain level in the game, things become more savage in the open world. At level 30, all players are subjected to forced open-world PvP.
There is a way to disable this or insulate oneself from the harsh realities of open-world PvP but it would cost real money or Star Seeds and is only sold in the microtransactions shop. It's best to prepare for this level because after that, there's no turning back and the game can change drastically.
1 Brace Yourself For PK Culture
Such is the reality of a forced PvP game, one must brace themselves for cutthroat player attitude or even downright griefing. One must and should expect themselves to be killed unfairly or even without warning even during World Boss events. PK (or player kill) is a pretty common behavior.
This is a common complaint from many players who only expect to do some PvE activitiesduring PvE activities but the developers are intent on keeping their vision for Bless Unleashed. The only way to get around this is by fighting fire with fire and grinding for a better Gear Score.
