A brand-new trailer and key visual for the upcoming second part of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War were released on Sunday through VIZ Media's official social channels. The trailer and new visual revealed the broadcast date of the series, as well as one of the biggest incoming plot developments of the BLEACH series' climactic arc: the betrayal of Uryū Ishida.

The upcoming second part to the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is one of the upcoming summer season's most anticipated shows after the wildly successful first part, continuing Ichigo Kurosaki's journey from where it left off at the end of the original series over a decade ago. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 – The Separation is set to broadcast on July 8. The official trailer can be seen below.

The new trailer for the second part of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War revealed the series' new opening theme, "STARS", performed by the three-person band w.o.d, who are contributing an anime theme song for the first time and while it was not a factor in their selection, their music is enjoyed by series author Tite Kubo, a known rock music lover.

New cast members have also been announced to be joining the BLEACH series, including Sōichiro Hoshi (Death Gun, Sword Art Online II) as Nianzol; Tsuyoshi Koyama (Vassago, Sword Art Online: Alicization) as Gerald; Aoi Yūki (Froppy, My Hero Academia) as Liltotto and Nao Tōyama (Yui Yuigahama, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) as Giselle.

Announced for four cours with breaks in between each run, the first cour of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War premiered on October 10, 2022. It was broadcast on TV Tokyo and streaming platforms such as Disney+, running for 13 episodes the last of which was a double-episode that aired in December.

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is the long-awaited anime adaptation of volumes 55-74; the conclusive arc of the manga by Tite Kubo serialized in Shonen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016, with a one-shot chapter set after the end of the original series released in 2021 to commemorate 20 years of BLEACH. The upcoming second cour of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is set to premiere on TV Tokyo, and streaming platforms like Hulu and Disney+ on July 8, and will be available to stream in six different languages.
