The four courses of this saga are going to be a blast to witness, and fans can only hope that things don't tank near the latter stages as they did in the manga.

Many people feel like the main character, Ichigo, doesn't have a great personality that makes him compelling as a lead character. However, despite these understandable flaws, there's no denying that some of the best moments in Bleach work because of Ichigo spearheading things, with some of his lines being extremely impactful in their own way.

Ichigo (1)

Rukia is an important person for Ichigo, with the Substitute Shinigami getting his powers in the first place because Rukia gave him that opportunity. So, when his friend ends up being taken by Soul Society to be executed, Ichigo realizes that he needs to embark on a quest to save his friend.

Ichigo actively acknowledges how cowardly he can be when things don't go his way, but turning his back on the person who helped him is the ultimate sin in his eyes. So, regardless of how scared he may be, he wasn't going to stop pushing until Rukia was safe and sound.

6 "You Keep Doing Your Thing And Don't Fight For Yourself, But Fight For Me. And I Will Fight For You."

Chad in Bleach

The friendship between Ichigo and Chad is pretty great, even if the dynamic may be pretty simple. Despite being a huge and imposing individual, Chad never tried to defend himself and was constantly picked on by people.

However, things changed when Ichigo put his body on the line to save him one time. He gave Chad the motivation he needed to fight for what's right, and Chad decided to fight not for himself, but for Ichigo and his friends when the need arose.

Ichigo has the mentality of a winner, wanting to push himself every step of the way and become as powerful as possible to destroy his enemies. The thrill of the fight isn't what excites him per se — rather, it's the idea of attaining victory at all costs.

As a result, Ichigo tries his hardest to win against his opponents so he can push forward time and time again. He doesn't fight without a purpose, and it's this zeal that drives him forward every step of the way.

4 "... That Pride You're Saying To Be So Precious, Is That Connected To Killing Rukia? Is It? Then I Should Stomp On It As You Said. 'Cause That's Why I Obtained This Bankai!"

Ichigo Kurosaki VS Byakuya Kuchiki in Bleach

Ichigo's rematch with Byakuya is a long time in the making, with the protagonist being completely and utterly incapacitated the first time he tries to stop this man from kidnapping Rukia. Clearly, he needed to enhance his power to new heights, and he achieves the same by training to unlock his Bankai under Urahara.

As a result, fans love his fight against Byakuya, with both individuals putting their ideals and strength on the line. Ultimately, it's Byakuya's resolve that wavers, allowing him to finally see the error of his ways.

3 "If Miracles Only Happen Once What Are They Called The Second Time?"

Ichigo may not be the smartest protagonist around, but there are times when this man says something really poignant that will catch everyone off-guard. Such is the case when Ichigo talks about the nature of miracles during his fight against Byakuya.

After apparently being caught by the Senbonzakura, Ichigo demonstrates a level of speed that genuinely surprises his opponent. After saying this amazing quote, he proceeds to stab Byakuya, who manages to avoid a fatal blow in the nick of time despite being injured.

2 "Zanpakuto Are Not Mere Tools. They're Each Alive. They Each Have Names. I'm No Better Than That Kenpachi, Who Doesn't Even Know His Zanpakuto's Name."

Zangetsu in Bleach

Ichigo can be surprisingly sympathetic when the error of his ways is brought to light. For the longest time, the protagonist just swung his sword without a care in the world and didn't really pay too much attention to his Zanpakuto's real name.

However, later on, he realized just how important it is to be one with his blade, apologizing to Zangetsu for taking him for granted. Over time, he manages to attain the trust of his blade and becomes even stronger.

The bond that Ichigo forms with Zangetsu is pretty great, allowing him to attain Bankai and enhance his power to new heights. However, after his Bankai is broken during the Sternritter's assault on Soul Society, Ichigo feels like all is lost since a sword that's broken in Bankai form can never be reforged.

However, it turns out that the old man inside him wasn't the real form of his Zanpakuto after all, but a manifestation of his Quincy powers. The true nature of his Zanpakuto was actually his Hollow form, whom he bests and reconciles with to reveal a brand-new dual-blade Zanpakuto that looks positively amazing!
