9 Grimmjow
Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez is one of the main antagonists in the Bleach anime and manga series. He is an Arrancar and the sixth Espada in Aizen's linked army. His reputation for hostility, impatience, and erratic behavior precedes him.
Over the course of the series, Grimmjow's mind matures as he considers his past and the interactions he has had with other people. During the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Grimmjow temporarily sides with Ichigo and the Gotei 13, reasoning that if Yhwach destroys the world, he will never have another opportunity to face off with Ichigo. Grimmjow has undoubtedly grown up throughout the course of the series, but still retains many of his impulsive characteristics.
8 Urahara
Many of the series' characters hold former 12th Division leader Kisuke Urahara in high regard due to his cunning and brilliance. Urahara is not always the driving force behind what happens; rather, he observes from the sidelines and steps in only when necessary.
As the Bleach narrative develops, more of Urahara's history and motivations are revealed. Urahara proves himself a selfless hero by making key contributions to the defeat of Aizen and Yhwach's underlings, thus allowing the Soul Society to be saved. Urahara's character conclusion is satisfactory, especially given that it comes from a captain who lacked confidence.
7 Yamamoto
Yamamoto Genryusai is one of the most revered characters in Bleach due to his status as a powerful shinigami and the thousand-year-long captain-commander of the Gotei 13. Throughout the series, Yamamoto played the role of a harsh captain-commander who will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of soul society. When Yamamoto left an adversary alive after creating strife, he violated his own beliefs.
Yamamoto would strive to redeem himself, but his rival, Yhwach, would return for revenge. Yamamoto's final moments are his finest, as he sees the damage he's done to spirit civilization and accepts responsibility for his actions. Yamamoto's story concludes appropriately, serving as a witness to the importance of repentance and the repercussions of hubris.
6 Yhwach
A misplaced sense of justice clouded Quincy King Yhwach's judgment. Yhwach was spared after his initial encounter with Yamomoto, captain and commanding officer of the Gotei 13. However, Yhwach waited a thousand years for his chance at vengeance, all while working toward his ultimate goal of building a world in which all sentient beings might live in peace and prosperity.
Yhwach had a noble goal, but he went about it in the worst possible way: by resorting to cruel and savage means. Although he got his revenge on Yamamoto, Ichigo and the captains of the Gotei 13 put an end to his lifelong fantasy of destroying the world, thereby creating a satisfying conclusion for his character.
5 Ichigo
Ichigo, the main character of Bleach, has matured quite a bit during the course of the series. Throughout Bleach, Ichigo matured from a carefree and impetuous youngster to a responsible, selfless hero by focusing on his strengths and overcoming his shortcomings.
Ichigo's growth as a character is interesting to watch as he accepts his place in the world and learns to rely on his companions. Ichigo's showdown with Yhwach was an epic struggle, and the resolution was both emotionally fulfilling and a monument to the force of development and advancement.
4 Aizen
The character of Aizen, the main antagonist of the first half of Bleach, is fantastic. One of the best-depicted villains in anime history, Aizen has a complex personality that includes intelligence and manipulation.
The revelations of Aizen's character are astounding since he does this while remaining consistently deceptive and brilliant. Aizen is momentarily liberated in the last arc of the Bleach series to aid the Shinigami in dealing with Yhwach's henchmen. After the battle ends, Aizen is shut up once more to consider Yhwach's point of view.
3 Kenpachi
Kenpachi Zaraki, who is the captain of the 11th Division of the Gotei 13, is one of the most important characters in the Bleach series.The character of Kenpachi was established as a fierce and powerful fighter who cared only for the rush of battle.
However, as the story progresses, Kenpachi changes, coming to value other things in life besides fighting. In the end, he learns what it means to put aside his own interests and fight for something bigger than himself. Thus, Kenpachi becomes more disciplined after his fight with Yhwach, and he eventually becomes a teacher to the following generation.
2 Rukia
Rukia Kuchiki has a pivotal role in both the anime and the manga. Fans have a special place in their hearts for Rukia because she is the Soul Reaper who gives Ichigo Kurosaki his powers at the beginning of the series.
In the anime, Rukia, one of the main characters, goes through profound changes, both mentally and physically. After losing her powers to Ichigo, Rukia worked hard to rise through the ranks of the Gotei 13, first as a lieutenant and then as captain of the 13th division. Her character development is one of tenacity and resolve, and it culminates in a way that makes sense.
1 Byakuya
Byakuya Kuchiki is a character with many different sides who changes a lot over the course of the series. He is the captain of the 6th division and the 28th head of the Kuchiki family. Byakuya first appears to be a cold and imperious noble person. He rarely interacts with the other characters because he prefers to be alone.
That was until Byakuya realized what would happen if he continued to isolate himself. After the events of the Aizen arc, Byakuya made an effort to get to know the other characters, especially his adoptive sister, Rukia Kuchiki. Byakuya's character has evolved throughout the series to become more unselfish and caring, and this is most evident in the Thousand Blood War arc when he becomes less cold and aloof.
