Unlocking all of the abilities that Blasphemous 2 has to offer will get players the unlockable Ultima Ratio trophy/achievement, at least those who aren't playing on the Nintendo Switch. One of the abilities that players will unlock is called the Passage of Ash, and having this will allow the Penitent One to jump a second time in the air --it's what most gamers would call a double jump. This opens up the map for further exploration and is needed to progress to the end of Blasphemous 2 and roll credits. This guide will show players where they need to go to unlock the double jump and get one step closer to the finish line.

How to Get Double Jump in Blasphemous 2 (Passage of Ash)

First and foremost, the only way that Blasphemous 2 players can reach the location of the double jump skill is by owning all three of the game's unlockable weapons: the Ruego Al Alba, Veredicto, and Sarmiento & Centella. Players will get to choose a starting weapon at the beginning of the game, but the other two will need to be found on the map.

We have a detailed guide here that shows the Blasphemous 2 weapon locations, but to put it short and sweet, here are their general locations:

  • Ruego Al Alba - Crown of Towers
  • Veredicto - Sacred Entombments
  • Sarmiento & Centella - Palace of the Embroideries

Once players have all three weapons, they need to head all the way down to an area called Beneath Her Sacred Grounds, which is south of Mother of Mothers, underneath Profundo Lamento and City of the Blessed Name. The location is marked on the map below.

Before reaching the Passage of Ash's room, players must defeat one of Blasphemous 2 's bosses, Afilaor, Sentinel of the Emery. He's not one of the most challenging bosses, but players should upgrade their healing flasks with Empty Receptacles as much as possible to make the fight a bit easier.

Here's a video showing the path players should follow to get to Beneath Her Sacred Grounds from the main city:

To use the skill, simply press the jump button while in the air or falling.

Blasphemous 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
