9 Fast Hands

fast hands perk

Fast Hands is unlocked at Level 1 and is a Tier 2 perk allowing players to swap or use their weapons faster than other characters. Fast Hands also allows players to use their grenades and equipment faster, bringing quickness to the actions of the player.

What’s great about Fast Hands is that players will be able to aim faster after sprinting, meaning that if they take a tight corner and want to aim at any enemy that may be lurking behind it, they won’t be so slow to aim down sights and pull the trigger.

8 Ghost

ghost perk

Ghost is one of the best Tier 1 perks in Black Ops 3, and can be unlocked at Level 38. With Ghost, players are immune to enemy UAVs, and will remain undetected, but only if they are constantly on the move. Players should always move around, so being undetected will be no issue against those pesky UAVs.

Players will also be immune from UAVs when they are planting or defusing bombs, and controlling Scorestreaks. It’s a great advantage to be a literal ghost on the battlefield, so this perk is great for those players that need that bout of stealth.

7 Hard Wired

hard wired perk

This Level 1, Tier 2 perk will make players immune to a great deal of Scorestreaks and Equipment, which is a great advantage to players that are sick of getting attacked by things out of their control. Hard Wired will make players immune to the following: Counter-UAV, Power Core, EMP Grenade, and Smoke Screen.

As well as being immune to those things, players won’t trigger the following: Trip Mines, Shock Charges, or C4 alarm. The digital imprint against enemy Tracker and Sixth Sense Perks is also reduced.

6 Engineer

engineer perk

At Level 32, players will unlock this Tier 3 Perk that will show enemy equipment and Scorestreaks through walls. These Scorestreaks and enemy equipment are noticeable thanks to the red highlights, and it will help prevent players from accidentally going over a trip mine, or Nomad’s H.I.V.E. pods.

These hostiles will also be marked on the in-game minimap for the player, making Engineer a great perk for the player that hates getting killed by the equipment in this Treyarch game.

5 Overclock

overdrive perk

Each Specialist in Black Ops 3 plays differently, with unique Special Abilities and Specialist Weapons. Overclock will help players to get their Specialist Ability much faster, as they will have a 25% reduction in the score and time that it takes to earn their unique character ability.

Overclocked is a Tier 1 perk, unlocked at Level 20. With Overclock, players will be able to be the person in their multiplayer match that is constantly using their Specialist Weapon or Ability. It’s great for controlling the battlefield.

4 Gung-Ho

gung-ho perk

A default perk, Gung-Ho, is a great Tier 3 choice, as it will allow players to bring forth more movement into their action. Players can hip-fire their weapons, deploy equipment, and throw grenades, all whilst sprinting around the mayhem of the intense maps that will see players face off against each other.

Speed is important, especially in Black Ops 3, in which they have jet boosters to fly in the air and slide at high speeds, a great advantage for maps like Nuketown. Gung-Ho will give players the speed that they need to dominate, especially with the ability to run and gun.

3 Cold Blooded

cold blooded perk

AI Scorestreaks are certainly a nuisance to players. Players might hate being shot just for leaving a building. Luckily, Cold Blooded will be a great perk to players that just want to enjoy running around without being slaughtered by an AI.

Cold Blooded is unlocked at Level 26 and is a Tier 2 Perk. It will make players immune to Thermal Optics, but the biggest advantage is the fact that ground-based AI Scorestreaks cannot target the player, meaning they can run around in peace.

2 Flak Jacket

Enemy explosives can certainly deter players from coming back. There’s a complete warzone out there, in which players spam and throw their many grenades hoping to get a random kill from the bouncing explosive. With Flak Jacket, players won’t have to worry too much about these explosives taking a limb or two.

Flak Jacket is a Tier 1 Perk, unlocked at Level 5. It’s one that players should consider, as it will provide up to a 65% decrease in explosive damage. This means that C4 explosives and grenades could just be shrugged off in the right circumstances.

1 Dead Silence

dead silence perk

The Level 50 perk of Black Ops 3 is a Tier 3 called Dead Silence. This perk is simple and deadly. Players will be able to move silently, running and moving with no footstep sounds. It’s great for getting the drop on an enemy, as they won’t think to turn around or look for the footsteps that are chasing after them.

Dead Silence is also great for game modes like Search & Destroy, as players will only have one life. With Dead Silence, players can prevent enemies from expecting their movements, as no matter their sound quality, they won’t hear a thing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
