There are several massively multiplayer online role-playing games that are still killing it these days and Black Desert Online is one of them. Seven years later and the game is still updated regularly and adding new classes. At the moment, players can choose from 21 different classes.

The Ninja is one of these classes. This class is the perfect combination of swordplay, martial arts, and Ninjutsu (strategy and tactics of the classic ninja). Ninjas attack quickly and move even swifter, using smoke bombs and going invisible when the time calls for it.

While Ninjas possess raw strength, where they shine the greatest is through combos. Almost all of their attacks are connected through combos, although some stand out from others. Besides combos, the Ninja is the master of dodging and aerial attacks too.

10 Ghost Step

Sometimes the Ninja will struggle in combat and need a way out. That is what Ghost Step is for.

This mobility skill allows the Ninja to disappear out of thin air for a couple of seconds and reappear (out of thin air) somewhere else, according to which direction the player choose. While invisible, they get invisibility frames, of course. Not only is Ghost Step useful, but it is also totally on-brand for being a true ninja.

9 Smokescreen

Black Desert Online Ninja Dodge

Besides disappearing out of sight and reappearing out of nowhere (via Ghost Step), the Ninja also has a smoke bomb, naturally.

Smokescreen is a mobility skill that allows Ninjas to enjoy an Evasion rate of six percent for 10 seconds while inflicting Stun on all targets nearby. On top of that, the player gets Super Armor during the activation animation. When Ghost Step is on cooldown or they are fighting too many enemies at once, Ninjas just drop Smokescreen for enough edge to turn the battle around.

8 Ninjutsu: Blade Spin

The Ninja's bread and butter are combos, and Ninjutsu: Blade Spin, one of several Ninjutsu skills available, is the key. This attack is a Down Smash (meaning extra damage on knocked down enemies) and extends the Crowd Control meter decently.

Moreover, Ninjutsu: Blade Spin has Super Armor during usage. If the Super Armor is not needed, the skill animation is cancellable at the end (foregoing the Super Armor but saving time).

7 Beheading The Dead

Black Desert Online Ninja Aerial Attack

What is better than outright running up to an enemy and stabbing them? How about going invisible and then doing so, because the Ninja has that ability.

Beheading the Dead is an attack as well as a tactical skill. The player goes invisible (which grants invincibility frames) before unleashing an attack that inflicts Stun on targets. Moreover, targets get their defense power reduces for 10 seconds. Beheading the Dead is best used by canceling the animation (which is fairly long) via Ghost Step or Smokescreen.

6 Ninjutsu: Black Moonlight

Black Desert Online Ninja Jump

Another Ninjutsu skill is Ninjutsu: Black Moonlight. Like Ninjutsu: Blade Spin, this attack is necessary when it comes to combos. This skill makes use of shurikens and kunais, two of the Ninja's greatest tools.

Ninjutsu: Black Moonlight not only does good damage but inflicts Stiffness when it comes to Crowd Control. It is best used when kicking off combos or following a Ghost Step.

5 Shuriken Throw

Black Desert Online Ninja Slice

Sometimes the Ninja does not want to get up close and personal and relies on ranged attacks. That's where the Shuriken Throw skill comes in. (Also on-brand for ninjas.)

While Shuriken Throw is decent on its own, it gets even better with Shuriken: Malice and Shuriken: Flight. While Malice inflicts Stiffness on targets during Crowd Control, Flight inflicts Floating. Both are useful in combos but Malice is the better choice because it simply does more damage.

4 Shadow Stomp

Another essential skill when it comes to combos for the Ninja is Shadow Stomp. That is because this attack inflicts Floating during Crowd Control. Also, Shadow Stomp is an aerial move.

The best way to use this skill is by canceling the animation with Shuriken Throw or Smokescreen. Why? Shadow Stomp has an unbearably lengthy animation and no protection when used; so, the player is super vulnerable during the process.

3 Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone

Black Desert Online Ninja Sheathe

The Ninja has numerous options when it comes to Ninjutsu skills. One of them is Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone, although it is only available if the player has Shadow Stomp too.

This skill is usable directly after Shadow Stomp. It will take Shadow Stomp a step further with extra damage as well as an Air Smash and a Down Smash (therefore bonus damage from both sources). On top of that, the player will increase the duration of Crowd Control!

2 Fox Claw

Black Desert Online Ninja Master

Some skills in the Ninja's arsenal are only good during combos. Fox Claw is not one of them. It is a skill both useful in combos and out of combos purely thanks to its damage output.

Fox Claw inflicts Stiffness during Crowd Control. Furthermore, it is an aerial attack and a downward attack. So, extra damage for Air Smash and Down Smash.

1 Fatal Blow

Black Desert Online Ninja Strike

The Fatal Blow skill is an attack that causes big damage. On top of that, it inflicts Stiffness during Crowd Control. Fatal Blow works well as a finisher, or for quick kills.

However, if the player picks up Fatal Blow, they might as well pick up Flow: Fatal Blow Combo. This skill just adds even more damage following usage of Fatal Blow. Both skills go hand in hand.
