Black Desert: How To Get Pearls

Pearls are important for players who want to shop in the exclusive shop of Black Desert, and this is the best way to get them.

At first glance, the game’s expansive story and multiple questlines might make leveling seem extremely overwhelming. However, players who know exactly where to farm and the sequence of their progress may find their grind more bearable than expected. For players who want to focus on grinding through the game’s PVE element, certain locations provide decent drops and even quite a lot of Silver per hour of play depending on how players manage enemy spawns and rotations. Here are areas to take note of.

1 Mirumok Ruins

Mirumok Ruins

Region, Node

Kamasylvia, Mirumok Ruins

Hourly Estimated Silver (via Garmoth, 08/23 to 01/24)

~370M

Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)

Valtarra Eclipsed Belt, Marsh’s Artifacts, Black Stone (Armor, Weapon), Forest Fury, Krogdalo’s Origin Stone

Notable Drops (Others)

Caphras Stone

Players enjoying their Black Desert Online gameplay can go to Mirumok Ruins to begin their midlevel grind due to the presence of the eponymous mobs. The Ruins are said to be the home of the Mirumok Temple, which itself is guarded by the ancient weapons the area is named after. These strong machines are made of special minerals and wood, but they have become corrupted over time.

While considered one of the few party-ideal grinding areas in the game, both soloists and parties should be able to work with a decent amount of both loot and experience from their runs. The key part of the gameplay loop here is to attack the towers that spawn extra mobs only after killing the initial mobs. This way, players can secure a more consistent farming rotation, especially when playing as a pair or even as a duo. Ideal items of acquisition here are Black Stones, Marsh’s Artifacts, and Valtarra’s Eclipsed Belt.

2 Kratuga Ancient Ruins

Tucked deep within Hasrah Cliff is Kratuga Ancient Ruins, a site of knowledge and technology lost to time. Players enjoying their gameplay as any one of Black Desert Online classes can rely on Kratuga Ancient Ruins for their midlevel grind, especially if they’re out to collect their first few artifacts in the game.

Players first need the Black Spirit Claw to access Kratuga Ancient Ruins, with the main area located along the left wall of Hasrah Cliff. Despite being similar to other grinding spots, popping Agris Fury and farming Kratuga Ancient Ruins run a higher chance of rewarding players simply looking for artifacts and other valuable items.

3 Sycraia Underwater Ruins (Abyssal)

Sycraia Underwater Ruins

Region, Node

Balenos, Rancid Island

Hourly Estimated Silver (via Garmoth, 08/23 to 01/24)

~529M

Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)

Tungrad Ring, Ancient Seal Shards (Red, Black), Deboreka Earring

Notable Drops (Others)

Dust, Abyssal Essence

Its location off the coast of Iliya Island makes Sycraia Underwater Ruins (Abyssal) a surprising presence in a player’s grinding rotation. In terms of the lore, the Underwater Ruins was once home to the long-lost Ancients civilization, although not much has been deduced out of its original purpose or how it ended up being so deep underwater. Automatons who once served the Ancients lie in its waters, serving as foes that players have to face.

Accessing the area isn’t possible via horse travel. Instead, players need to use the game’s escape function after swimming to the area proper north of Iliya Island. This glitch brings them to the Underwater Ruins area, where they can do two dailies in succession. Accessing the main grind location from this point needs the Memory of the Deep Sea, which can be formed with Fragments of the Deep Sea. Thankfully, farming the mobs here shouldn’t be extremely difficult as long as players pull them in groups and attack them from behind. The area can become a decent spot for Tungrad Rings, Deboreka Earrings, and Ancient Seal Shards.

4 Jade Starlight Forest

Caphras Stones

Situated deep inside the Mountain of Eternal Winter, players who want to upgrade their Black Desert Online playthroughs with stronger builds can start gearing up in the Jade Starlight Forest. The straightforward nature of the Jade Starlight Forest as well as its collectible Flames, Embers, and Tokens make it a popular grinding spot for a player’s early endgame scenario. It’s advisable to do regular rotations and destroy the brazier or special totem present with each group of mobs to make combat easier. Mobs here spam AOEs regularly, making it advisable for players to watch their ground all the time.

5 Bloody Monastery

Hourly Estimated Silver (via Garmoth, 08/23 to 01/24)

~520M

Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)

Moon Split Nail, Shard of the Drained Night

Notable Drops (Others)

Predator’s Roots, Crimson Bells

Previously home to priests worshipping the benevolent god Elion in Serendia, the red of Elion’s radiance turned into that of blood when the abandoned Bloody Monastery became the sacrificial ground of cultists worshipping Kzarka, the Lord of Corruption. Led by the bloodthirsty Muskan, the Bloody Monastery’s cultists can become worth the Silver grind for players who know how to maximize the mobs’ spawning opportunities.

Key to farming the Bloody Monastery is its rotation, especially when enemies start dropping Crimson Bells. It’s advised to pop Crimson Bells during fights so more enemies spawn close to the player faster, as doing the process while standing up can waste valuable time. Drops of interest from Bloody Monastery include the Moon Split Nail and Shard of the Drained Night.

6 Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground)

Gyfin Rhasia Temple

Kamasylvia, Gyfin Rasia Temple

Hourly Estimated Silver (via Garmoth, 08/23 to 01/24)

~795M

Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)

Tungrad Belt, Tungrad Necklace

Notable Drops (Others)

Caphras Stones, Peridot Leaf

Players interested in deep-diving into the lore of the world of Black Desert Online need only to explore the quests of its many regions, with Kamasylvia being a land torn between the fight of its elven citizens the Ganelle and the Vedir. However, when players get to the Gyfin Rhasia Temple, they will find evidence that there was a third missing civilization in Kamasylvia’s history. While its role in both the lore and the Black Desert story is yet to be seen, Gyfin Rhasia Temple remains one of the ideal grinding spots for players close to the endgame.

What makes the Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) especially dangerous to players is its unique color-based mechanics. Buffs the players possess indicate which colored mob they should focus on, with other mobs changing colors whenever one group dies. The area’s requirement to kill specific targets can make fights especially overwhelming, although experience and loot such as Tungrad Belt and Tungrad Necklace can be acquired fast here.

Unfortunately, their long-awaited peace didn’t last as the Three Days of Darkness eventually caught up with them, transforming everyone into fallen soldiers and killing everyone else who survived.

Despite its name, the City of the Dead boasts a bleak desert-like appearance instead of the stereotypical abandoned urban landscape. Fighting the armies of the dead can be difficult in the area if players aren’t aware of its major mechanics. Players are advised to stun the Tehmelun Messenger as soon as it’s engulfed in a yellow aura, as interrupting this action stops it from buffing its minions.

8 Thornwood Forest

~952M

Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)

Ominous Ring, Quturan’s Left Lung, Quturan’s Black Leaf (La Orzeca Armor)

Notable Drops (Others)

Caphras Stones, Ancient Spirit Dust

When it comes to ideal grinding spots for players who want to invest in their characters’ endgame performance, the grounds of Thornwood Forest can become a worthwhile site for easy Silver and trash loot earnings. Players who want to maximize profit from Thornwood should stay close to the Eye of Despair while avoiding CCs from the Khalks and the Dark Knight boss. The appearance of this opponent comes with 15 waves of two Khalks each, with players capitalizing on earnings if they use Agris Fever whenever four Khalks appear.

The site becomes quite an attractive location to farm for Quturan’s Left Lung or Quturan’s Black Leaf pity pieces, both of which can form the La Orzeca Helmet. Likewise, the Thornwood Forest may also be a viable farming spot for Ominous Rings, particularly its PEN variant that can provide as much as 18 AP and 28 Accuracy.

Notable Drops (Others)

Imperfect Lightstone of Earth, Caphras Stone, Olucas, Venomous Night Fangs

Considered one of the most popular endgame areas a player might encounter in their Black Desert Online grind, the three-man party area of Olun’s Valley remains a lucrative source of Silver as well as targeted drops such as Rich Merchant Ring pieces and Quturan’s Right Lung pieces for the La Orzeca Outfit. Technically a Level 61 area, many of the monsters in the area are Kamasylvias, with players recommended to proc buffs for their crits (from Heidel’s Carolin), damage to local monsters (Atanis Pond), and drop rate (various items).

Golems are central monsters in the area, with the occasional baby golem. Rotations are recommended to begin from the easternmost point from the center going clockwise to the southwest. The second half should occur going northward back to the center road and eastward back to the starting position. Alongside the occasional Caphras Stone, Olucas, and Venomous Night Fangs are other relevant drops such as pieces for Kehelle’s Artifacts, Deboreka’s Earring, Rich Merchant’s Ring, and the La Orzeca Armor.

Notable Drops (Others)

Caphras Stones

Created as the one place in the world where the Black Spirit’s Rage could be controlled, the Tungrad Ruins was once the site of the Tungrad School in a player’s Black Desert Online adventure. However, while it’s said that the Black Spirit was once sealed into its grounds, the threat of the Three of Darkness urged the native Uluans to attempt to control the beast to protect them. Their failure to do so resulted in the Black Spirit’s Rage wreaking havoc across the land, destroying the school and transforming its citizens into horrific monsters.

However, the bravest adventurers might find Tungrad Ruins one of the most lucrative grinding spots in the game, especially if they want to pursue overpowered builds. The area is known especially for its Origin of Dark Hunger, as well as rewards that can give players upwards of 1.5B Silver an hour when done correctly. The area is populated by dangerous Visionnaire and Dread-stricken mobs, both of which are capable of dropping much-desired items.
