DC unveiled a new teaser promoting its upcoming 2022 cinematic offerings, providing audiences quick glimpses of The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The one-minute-long promo packs a lot of familiar and brand-new images into its short duration but lays the breadcrumbs of anticipation for what's sure to be an exciting year.

DC will begin its exciting cinematic year with The Batman on March 4th, which is why footage of the Robert Pattinson-led film appears first in the teaser. The footage provided from Matt Reeves's upcoming film contains familiar images audiences are fully acquainted with, having seen most in The Batman's promotional rollout throughout the past few months.

The teaser picks up with the introduction of new footage from Black Adam and The Flash, which are due to land exclusively in theaters this year. The footage from the Dwayne Johnson-led film provides a glimpse into the character's origin story while equally showcasing glimpses of the Justice Society of America. The reveals are brief, but audiences can enjoy a sample of Atom Smasher, Cyclone, Doctor, and Hawkman. Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell, Pierce Brosnan, and Aldis Hodge will portray the newly introduced characters, respectively.

The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, is also showcased in the new teaser. Audiences witness an additional look at Allen's new suit, equipped with newly added retractable visors over the eyes of the character. However, the hype continues to build with the inclusion of Michael Keaton's Batman in the Flash teaser, making his return after nearly three decades away from the role. Keaton last appeared behind the iconic mask in 1992's Batman Returns. "You could go to any timeline, any universe. Why fight to save this one?" states Keaton's character in the new footage, highlighting the potential beginning of a multiverse-like atmosphere in the next stage of the DCEU.

Minor footage came from Jason Momoa's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which looks to round out the 2022 cinematic slate for DC. While DC has yet to unveil a trailer for audiences, it did provide a behind-the-scenes look into the film's production during 2021's DC FanDome. However, the DC teaser showcases Momoa's new suit, along with an image of the character seated on a throne in his iconic attire. Certain aspects of the film continue to surface, but nothing concrete has arisen regarding the narrative's complete direction. A trailer looks to be on the horizon soon as anticipation continues to build for the hero's newest journey.

While under the DC mantel, The Batman will live in a universe all its own, away from the other projects that are part of the DCEU. It's unclear what role The Flash will play, if any, in Black Adam and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, but the diverse nature of their stories looks to be attractive for a demographic excited for new superhero offerings.

The Batman will be released in theaters on March 4th, 2022, followed by Black Adam on July 29th, The Flash on November 4th, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on December 16th.
